EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING
OF TIIE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA

Pursuant to due call and notice therof, a special meeting of
the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota was held
at the Village Office on Monday, July 31, 1961, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.
with the following members present:
Crane, Blanchard, Malvin, Hodges, and Christensen.
and the following members absent:
Member Crane introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE AS
A MEMBER OF THE INTERIM BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE NORTH
SUBURBAN SANITARY SE TER DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Village of Mounds View, as one of the affected
municipalities has heretofore dtermined to proceed with the creation
of the NORTH SUBURBAN SANITARY SETER DISTRICT under the provisions of
Laws 1961, Extra session, Chapter 90, and,
'THEREAS, the provisions of said Act provide and require that
this Council shall appoint a representative who shall sit as a member
of an interim Board of Trustees,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES ^LVED:
SEC. 1: That the Council of the Village of Mounds View hereby selects
and appoints as a representative member on the interim Board of Trustees
of the North Suburban Sanitary Sewer District the following named
Council member, to -wit: Melford Christensen, who shall sit as a
member of said interim Board of Trustees, commencing forthwith and
shall continue to serve in such office until January of the year 1962
and thereafter tuitil his successor is appointed and qualified.
SEC.-2: That the Village Clerk shall certify the selection and 000 1 1 5
appointment of the said Melford Christensen as such member of the
interim Board of Trustees from the Village of Mounds View and said
Melford Christensen before entering such office and serving in the
Same
shall take such oaths and qualify as provided by law.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Member

and the following members voted against the same:
whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted.

of the Village of Hounds View, Minnesota, DO
carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a
meeting-ofthe Village Council of said Village held on the date therein
indicated with the original minutes thereof on file in my office and
that the same is a full, true and correct transcript thereof insofar as
said minutes relate to a resolution appcintirg.a- council representative
as a member of the interim Board of Trustees of the North Suburban
Sanitary Sewer District.

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special Meeting
of the Village Council was called to order at 8:00 P.N. by Mayor
Crane on Monday July 31st, 1961 at the Village Office, 5499 Adams
New Brighton 12, Minnesota.
Present were: Mayor: Allan B. Crane
Clerk: Lloyd J. Blanchard
Adm. Clk: Paul Boog
Trustees: Perry Malvin
Donald Hodges
Melford Christensen
Eng:neer:_Mr. Comstock

Motion by Hodge to pay estimate #6, the final estimate for
Herbst Construction Company for work completed and materials on
hand this date for the construction of Hater Main Improvement
Project 1960 -3 according to contract but withholding the amount
of 31,506.60 pending final inspection of project. Seconded by
Malvin. 5 Ayes.
Resolution No. 81, A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A COUNCIL
REPRESENTATIVE AS A MEMBER OF THE INTERIM BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE NORTH SUBURBAN SANITARY SE:ER DISTRICT, motion for adoption
by Cra.no. Melford Christensen is to be representative member on
the interim Board of Trustees of ttie North Suburban Sanitary
Sewer District. Seconded by Hodges 4 Ayes. Christensen abstained.
Resolution No. 82, A RESOLUTION ;TO'OSING AND INITIATING THE
ChEATION OF A S/.ITITARY SEWER Dt3TRICT, motion for adoption by
Malvin. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes.
Motion to adjourn by Blanchard. Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes.
Adjourned at 8 :35 P.M.
