A RES)LUTtN W.DIFYING ASSESSMENTS FOR WATER MAIN IMFROVEMENT
WHEREAS, The Village Council has determined that certain assessment*
are to be modified_ or divided,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the following list of modifications
and divisions, a copy of which is attached hereto and made apart hereof, is`
hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands
named therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be ..b
benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied
against it.
2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments
extending over a period of fifteen years, the first of the installments to be
payable on or after the first Monday in January, 1961 and shall bear interest
at the rate of 6 per cent per annum from the date of the adoption of this
assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the
entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 161. To
each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on
all unpaid installments.
3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to
certification of the assessment to the county auditor, pay the whole of the
assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment, to
the Village Treasurer, except that no 'interest shall be charged if the entire
assessment 15 paid within SG day trod) the adoption :f this resolution; and he may
at any time thereafter, pay to the county treasurer the entire amount of the
assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year
in which such payment is made.
Member Al nr..h.rsi introduced the following resolution and moved

whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted.

4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this
modification and division to the county auditor to be extended on the proper tax
lists of the county, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in
the same manner as other municipal taxes.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Malvin and upon a vote being taken, the following
members voted in favor thereof:

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the
Village of Mounds View, kinnesota, :i. HEREBY CERTIFY That I have carefully
compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a meeting of the
Village Council of said Village held on the date therein indicated with the
original minutes thereof on file in my office and that the same is a full, true
and correct transcript thereof insofar as said minutes relate to a resolution
aSdIfying assessments for Water Main Improvement.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was
called to order by Acting Mayor Donald Hodges at 8:00 P.M. January 22nd,
1962, at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10.

Motion by Malvin to accept minutes of January 8th, 1962
me*ds presented. .Seconded by Hodges. 4 ayes.
Motion by Hodges to accept minutes of January 13th, 1962
meeting as presented. ,Seconded by Sullivan. 4 ayes.
Mr. David W. Anderson, Julian M. Johnson, and Ronald Smith,
appreared before the Council requesting tentative approval of a plat plan.
(Johnson Terrace.) This matter had been before the Planning Commission
eight months before. After considerable discussion regarding street and
walk thru easements the matter was referred to Milt Stole and the Village
Planner.
Mr. Dave Swanson of N.S.P. appeared in regards to the
industrial development report available from his company. Mr. Sullivan
explained what had been done previously in the Village and Mr. Swanson
recommended that a chairman be appointed that would have available some
extra time to devote to the job. He presented to the Council copies of
a similiar type report done for the Village of Maplewood and also copiee
of a questionaire to be completed.
The Clerk was instructed to notify the Engineer that the
Council wishes to meet with the bidders on the acoustical job for the
meeting hall on February 10th, 1962.
Motion by Blanchard to have Mr. C. Van 2andt,1950 Valley
View Lane, audit the books according to a prior motion made December 26th,
1961. Seconded by Sullivan. 4 ayes.
Motion by Blanchard to authorize Mayor and Clerk to execute
agreements with attorney fiscal agent and dog catcher. Seconded by Malvin.
4 ayes.

January 22nd, 1962 Council meeting
Motion by Sullivan to send Village traffic safety
coordinator to meeting at U of Minnesota, February 3rd, 1962 and to pay
his expenses for same. Seconded by Malvin. 4 ayes.
Motion. by Sullivan to authorize Civil Defense Director to
purchase two parkas and that no more parkas or jackets be purchased for
this purpose. Seconded by Malvin. 4 ayes.
Motion by bodges to appoint the following people to the
Parks and Playgrounds Committcn: (term expires)

Motion by Malvin to appoint Mr. Pat Taylor, 7619 Knollwood
to the Lakeside Park Commission, term to expire December 31st, 1964.
Seconded by Hodges. 4 ayes.
The Attorney presented a Resolution modifying assessments
for Water Improvement.
Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution #95. Seconded by
Hodges. 4 ayes.
Planning report was read and presented by Milt Stole. (copy
on file)
Motion by Blanchard to enter into contract with H. Dahlgren
(Midwest Planners) for planning services to the Village. Seconded by
Malvin. 4 ayes. (copy of contract on file.)
Motion by Hodges to pay bills presented. Seconded by Malvin.
4 ayes.
Motion by Blanchard to hire the following people as:
1. Warming house attendants at $1..00 per hour: Mrs. Lydia Gross, 2175
Sherwood Rd., Marjorie Craft, 5301 Jackson., Gustaf R. Larson,
2. Skating rink maintance personnel at $1.50 per hour: Kenneth Simonson,
7909 Greenfield, Lewis Nagy, 2258 Terrace Dr., Leroy Holmes, 2225 Hillview,
Larry Dawson,2201 Lambert, Crawford Sandstrom, 5084 Greenwood.
3. Village office janitor at $1.50 per hours, Gary Frits,8072 Long Lake
Fcd., effective January 22nd, 1962. Seconded by Malvin. 4ayes.
Motion by Malvin to adjourn. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 ayes.
