PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
VILLAGE CF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY
MINNESOTA
A special meeting was held in the Village Office at 2401
Highway #10, St. Paul 12, Minnesota to canvass the votes of the
Village Election of December 4, 1962. The meeting was called to
order at 6 :05 P.M. on December 6, 1962 by Mayor Crane with the
following members present:

Allan B. Crane
Lloyd J. Blanchard
Perry Malvin
Donald Hodges
John L. Sullivan
Paul E. Boog.

At the Annual Village Election of the Village of Mounds View
in the County of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, held at Red Oak
School,Pinewood School and Messiah Lutheran Church, being the
place where it was directed to be held by the Village Council
after giving due notice thereof as provided by law. Appointed
said qualified voters of said Village to act as Judges of said
Election: Precinct #1 Iva Petron, Grace Aleckson, Bernice
Schaffhausen; Precinct #2 Lila Hauberg, Ida Nippert, Bernice
Hafslund; Precinct #3 Ada Sopkowiak, La Vonne Rentz, Mrs.
K. Ballenger. Who being present at the house of 7:00 A.M.
each of them duly took and subscribed an oath to faithfully discharge
the duties required of them at such election; and the said Judges
being duly qualified, forthwith opened the polls by proclamation,
and the Election proceeded by ballot without adjournment
or intermission until closed.
The subjects -noted on.at such Election as stated in the
Notice thereof were to elect:
1. Clerk
2. Trustee
3. Justice of the Peace
At '8:00 in the evening of said day the polls were closed,
proclamation thereof having been made by one of the judges thirty
minutes previous thereto. The Judges then proceeded to publicly
count and canvass the votes, and a true statement thereof
was duly proclaimed to the voters by the Clerk who recorded the
same in the Village Minute Book.
Statement of Result of Canvass:
The following is a true statement of the result of the
counting and canvass of votes by ballot at the Annual Village
Election of the Village of Mounds View, Ramsey County, State
of Minnesota held on December 4, 1962 as proclaimed to the
voters by the Clerk of Election.

Motion by Sullivan, Seconded by Malvin to accept the results
of the Village Election of the three precincts and proclaim the following
as elected:
Lloyd J. Blanchard, Clerk 118 votes
Donald C. Hodges, Trustee 127 votes
John G. Bell, Justice of Peace 119 votes
Motion by Sullivan, Seconded by Blanchard to adjourn.
Meeting adjourned at 6:20 P.M.
