The regular meeting of the Mound View Village Council was called
to order by Mayor Hodges at 8:00 P.M., December 9, 1963 at 2401

The Mayor called 3 times for further bids on

Motion by Blanchard to refer bids to the Village Engineer for tab
ultaion and recommendation. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes.
The Mayor announced the dates for the hearings on the lateral system
for sanitary sewer, December 12 and 19, at Edgewood Junior High School
at 8 :00 P.M.
The matter of snow plowing was referred to Mr. Skiba.
The Police report for November was read and filed.
Explorer Post #299, B.S.A., requested a permit to sell Christmas trees
at 2310 Hiliview Road. Motion by Sullivan to grant license for tree lot
as requested with no fee, subject to the approval by neighbors. If neigh-
bors complain said business will have to relocate. Seconded by Malvin.

A request from the Village of Shoreview for water for their skating
rinks was referred to Mr. Skiba.
Mr. Piehowski reported that a house at 8145 Groveland Rd. has been
condemned.
The Engineer presented a summary of bills on recent projects and the
items were discussed.(Copy on file)
The Engineer was instructed to investigate the missing valve at the
intersection of Woodcrest and Red Oak Dr., and to request payment from
the contractor responsible.
A modification to the control panel for the Wells #1 and 2 was re-
quested by the Engineer. Motion by Blanchard to order modification at
approxime to cost of $196,50. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes.
A letter from the Post nffice regarding possible change for Mounds
View postal service was read and filed.
Motion by Blanchard to pay bills in the amount of $52,893.29. Seconded
by Sullivan. 4 Ayes.
A letter from the Ramsey County Engineer regarding county road changes
was referred to the Village E gineer.
At 9:30 P.M. the Mayor opened the Public Hearing for the changing of
Ordinance #60, Section 1, Paragraph 4 Lakeside Park. There was no one
present who wished to speak either pro or con on the subjest in the
audience. Motion by Malvin to direct the Village Attorney to draw up
Ordinance change for Ordinance #60, allowing the Lakeside Park Commission
to accept bids for any work up to $1,000.00 instead of the present
$500.00. Seconded by Sullivan, 4 Ayes.
Mayor Hodges closed the Public Hearing.
The Attorney was instructed to contact the property owners on Water
Project 1963-.2 informing them of the cost of the proposed project and
requesting them to state whether or not said project should be under-
taken at this time.
Motion by Malvin to adjourn. Seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes.
