B ge lanchard John L. Sullivan Ingram Rustad Charles LaVaque Richard Meyers Les Knutson Walter Skiba Clerk: Paul Boog Motion by Hodges to approve the minutes of March 23, 1964 as pre- sented. Seconded by`LaVeque. 5 Ayes. Requests for storage of junk vehicles by Mr. Aske, Mr. Bonin, and Mr. Peterson were referred to the Police Commission for study and re- commendation. Motion by Blanchard to allow the Area 7, Girl Scouts of America, use of the Village park site adjacent to the Hall at no fee. Seconded by Sullivan. 5 Ayes, Mr. Ramacher and Mr. Eastman presented applications for Ballroom and 3.2 and Set- up These were held pending approval of building permit by Piehowski. 000044 Mayor Hodges announced that the Ramsey County League of Municipal- ies meeting will be in Falcon Heights April 15. The Clerk's office was directed to write a letter to the Mounds View Businessmen's Association thanking them for their work in the Easter Egg Hunt; also, a letter to the Civil Defense Department. The matter of a water and sewage problem on County Road I and a- nother at or near Woodale Drive and Pleasant View Drive were referred to Mr. Skiba for investigation. Motion by Blanchard to grant request for subdivision by Mr. Ed Dropps, Jr. for property at 7980 Farichild Ave. Seconded by Sullivan. 5 Ayes Mr. Rusted presented the B. &E. Patrol report and the Police report for March, 1964. Copies on file. -2- 0J0045 The Clerk's office was instructed to notify the owner of a home at Greenfield and Hillview to clean up the burned -out home within 30 days. The Clerk's office was instructed to write 'a letter to Mr. Gene Caetl 2090 Hillview Road, informing him that the Village Council has received complaints regarding his operation of a welding shop in a residential area. He is requested to appear at the next Council meeting about this non conforming use. The Engineer reported on the following itaea: 1. Surface water drainage in connection with Sanitary Sewer. 2. Construction of County Road H to be in 1965 at the earliest according to a meeting with the County Engineer. 3. Sewer ordinance being prepared with the Attorney. Motion by Blanchard to have Ramsey County do the Gloria Circle drainage project as soon as possible. Seconded by LaVaque. 5 Ayes. The Engineer was directed to notify the County of the above action. The Attorney recommended codification of Village ordinances in the near future. Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution #157, authorizing the Village attorney to proceed with condemnation proceedings on the following ease- ments: #3, 4A, 4B, 4C, 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, 63, 64, 67, 68, 69, 70, 70A, 70B, 82AA, 84AA, 84CC, 84B, 73, 81A, 35, 36, New Brighton easement #A B. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. A resolution abating an assessment due to service charge being. levied but no service installed was presented. Motion to adopt Resolu- tion #158. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. Motion by Sullivan to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to endorse a check from the Highway Department to Mr. Moga (settlement for condem- nation), because assessment has been paid. Seconded by LaVaque. 5 Ayes. Motion by Rustad to adopt Ordinance #111, correcting Ordinance #100. Seconded by LaVaque. 5 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to approve license applications. (list attached.) Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. The Attorney was instructed to notify the owners of the proposed trailer park of the need for permission to re -route the Judicial ditch. The Clerk's office is to tify Roto- Rooter and Thorp Homes of the need for their license. The Clerk reported that 186 post cards for the informal hearing for sewer in areas C -1, C -3, E had been mailed. Hoag presented a list of phone numbers of officials and appointees of the Village. The Council approved said list for publication at no cost to the Village. (list attached) A request for water for road cleaning by Ramsey County was referre to Mr. Skiba. Dead end lines to be used at fee. Motion by Blanchard to accept bills totaling $8,657.30. LaVaque. Motion by Blanchard to adjourn.
