VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Special Meeting
of the Village Council was called to order at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday,
July 14, 1964 at the Village Hall 2401 Highway 10 by Mayor
Donald Hodges.

Mayor Hodges called for all sealed bids to be received. The...
Bond Consultant presented two bids. Mayor Hodges called for further
bids. None appeared. The Mayor requested the Bond Consultant to open
and read the bids received. The result:, were:

1. First National Bank of St. Paul 3,2375 $101,981.25
2. American National Bank 3.1498 99,219.75
The Mayor asked for any bidders not read. None appeared.
The Mayor recessed the Bid hearing until the bids could be tabulated,.
Motion by Rustad to adopt Resolution 167 authorizing
the Mayor to sign the permit application W -54 Minnesota Conservation
Department Division of Water Work in the beds of Public Waters
drainage improvement; to relocate and enclose in conduit. Seconded
by Schott. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Rustad to authorize payment to the Part -Time
Police Officers a vacation check equivalent to two weeks pay.
Seconded by La Vanue. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Rustad to appoint Donald G. Erickson 2261 Lois Dr.
on the Police Commission to replace James Monson.
Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Planchard to instruct the Engineer to prepare
a preliminary report on the extension of Water Service to the Ball
Diamond at Lakesdie Park. Seconded by Schott. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried.
Clerk Blanchard reported that 1027 children registered for
swimming at Lakeside Park, 632 children were from Mounds View and
Spring Lake Park, 395 children were from other Villages.
Instruct the Clerk's Office to notify the Spring Lake Park
!ire Department to met witt. the Council, Monday August 3, 1964 at
7:30 P.M.

Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution 168 awarding the
Sale of $1,575,000 General Obligation Temporary Improvement Bonds of the
Village to be issued pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Section 429.091,
Subdivision 3 for the purpose of financing part of the cost of a
Sanitary Sewer Improvement to American National Bank. Its bid of a net
3.14986 with the Total net interest cost to be $99,219.75 was declared
the lowest by the Bond Consultant. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes.
Motion Carried.
Motion by La Vaque to adopt Resolution 169 a Resolution
to establish the Form of the $1,575,000 Sewer Improvement Bonds.
Seconded by Rusted. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Rusted to adjourn. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes.
