Boog Attorney: Richard Meyers Engineer: Shelly Soehm Motion by LaVaque to accept minutes of September 28 as presented. Seconded by Schott. 4 Ayes. Motion by Schott to accept minutes of September 30 as presented. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. Motion by La Vaque to accept minutes of October 5 as presented. Seconded by Schott. 4 Ayes. Motion by Schott to correct minutes of October 12 to read "Special Meeting" rather than regular meeting and to accept minutes as corrected. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. Clerk Blanchard read a report from the NSSSD regarding the $12,000,000 excess transportation cost of the proposed metropolitan plan of sewage disposal. (Copy on file) Donald C. Hodges At request of a resident, the minutes of were re— examined and the following action taken: to correct the minutes of October 5, 1964 Page 2, omitting the word duplexes and inserting the word Seconded by La Vaque, October 5, 1964 Motion by Blanchard Para. 5, Line 3 fourplexes. 4 Ayes. Motion by La Vaque to grant a developer a six month extension on the time limit for the building of the duplexes on the West 150 feet of the East 4 of the NE WI of Section 8, Township 30, Range 23, except the North 8 acres thereof and except the East 400 feet of the 5400 feet thereof, (Former Toner property used as screen for proposed Mobile Home Park,) Seconded by Schott. 4 Ayes. Motion by Schott to grant request of residents of area involved and to send a work order to N.S.P. for one 6,000 lumen street light at the Intersection of Edgewood and Sherwo -d. Seconded by La Vaque. 4Ayes. Mr Rustad read the Polic,e Report for September on file. Motion by Rustad to accept the low bid of Midway Ford in the amount of $2106.54 net for one new 1965 P'lice 6 Pass. station wagon as per specs and to order delivery as soon as possible: Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. -2- Mr. Rustad gave a short report on the informal North C `0 11 3 Suburban Hospital District informational meeting held on October 7, 1964. It is the feeling of the Council that the actions and efforts of the Hospital District have been in the best interest of the Village and that the Council stands behind them 10096. (Letter to this effect to go to Mrs. Wall, Secretary of Hospital District.) Mr. Boehm advised the Council that the Ziegler Company has ordered the necessary equipment to make Well f#2 operative, but a delay in receipt of these parts is expected. Mr. La Vaque stated that in a recent welfare case in the Village, the Police Department and the Ramsey County Sheriffs Answering Service performed outstanding service to the Village and a letter will be sent regarding this matter to both departments. Mr, Skiba was directed to prepare a list of roads needing repair and to refer it to Mr. Schott. Mr. Schott gave a report on the League Meeting held on `)ctober 6, 1964 and attended by Blanchard, Boog, La Vaque, and Schott. The Attorney was iven a copy of the Arden Hills Liquor 'hid. for study ar. recommendation to see if Village could adopt it. The repair of Red Oak Drive from Woodcrest to County Road H -.2 was referred to the Engineer for study and action. The possible connection of the new storm sewer with the existing storm drainage in the Ironwood Plat area was referred to the Engineer for study A Motion by Rustad, upon recorinlnc! .tion of the Attorney to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to enter into a contract the the Board of Water Commissioners, City of St. Paul, tom-- crossings of St. Paul water line. and to naopt ReolUtiah Seconded by La Vaque. 4,Ayes. The agreement with the Village of Shoreview in regards to 35 W crossing of storm sewer conduit returned to Attorney for further clarification. Mr. Meyers presented the form to be used for Sanitary Sewer Petitions. A letter from Turbomatic Company was referred to the Engineer and Attorney for recommendation at the next regular meeting. (letter on file) The Civil Defense informed the Council that they would assist the Police Department `_n Halloween Street patrolling. The Engineers report on 1964 -2, Water and Street Improvement Project was received and filed. Motion by Blanchard on recommendation of the Engineer, to accept the low bid of C.S.McCrossan, Inc. in the amount of $26,917.40 for Water and Street Improvement Project 1964 -2 and to authorizgg the Mayor and Clerk to execute contracts. Seconded by Schott. 4 7yes. i Motion by La Vaque, on recommendation of the Engineer, to advertise for bids for the four Sanitary Sewer Lift Stations. Bids closing date November 23, 1964 at 8:00 P.M. at the regular Council meeting. Seconded by Schott. 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted totaling $130,967.034 Seconded by Schott. 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to approve licenses submitted. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard upon receipt of resident, to grant 30 day extension of time for storage of junk vehicle at 2294 Bronson Dr, for Mrs. Peterson and to advise Mrs. Peterson that no further extensions of time will be granted. Seconded by Rustad. 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to approve list of election judges for November 3rd Election. (Copy attached to official copy of minutes) Seconded by Schott. 4 Ayes. Motion by La Vaque to adopt Resolutio 175 tting the 1965 Tax Levy for Village. Seconded by Schott. 4 Ayes. Motion by Schot to adjourn. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. Meeting adjourn i at 9:15 P.M.
