A special meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was
held at the Village Hall 2401 Highway 10 to canvass the votes
of the Village Election of November 3, 1964. The meeting was called
to order at 7:00 P.M. on November 4 1964 by Mayor Hodges with the
following members present:

Adm, Clerk: Paul E. Boog
At the annual Village Election of the Village of Mounds
View in the County of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, held at
Red Oak School, Pinewood School and Edgewood Junior High School,
being the place where it was declared to be 'held by the Village
Council after giving due notice thereof as provided by law The
Election Judges duly took and subscribed an oath or affirmation to
faithfully discharge the duties required of them at such Election;
and the said judges being duly qualified, forthwith opened the polls
by proclamation, and the Election proceeded by ballot adjournment
or intermission until closed.
The subjects voted on at such Election, as stated in the
Notice thereof,were to elect:
1 Clerk
2 Trustees
1 Justice of the Peace
At 8:00 O'Clock i the evening of said day the polls were
closed, proclamation thereof having been made by one of the Judges
thirty minutes previous thereto. The Judges then proceeded to
publicly count and canvass the votes, and a true statement thereof
was duly proclaimed to the voters by the Clerk who recorded the
same in the Village Minutes Book.
STATEMENT OF RESULT OF CANVASS
The following is a true statement of the results of the
counting and canvass of votes by ballot at the Annual Village Election
of the Village of Mounds View, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota
held November 3, 1964 as proclaimed to the voters by the Clerk
of Election from a meeting of the Mounds View Village Council
acting as a canvassing board as prescribed by Minnesota Statue
205.06, Subd. 2
For the Office of Clerk:
Lloyd J. Blanchard received 1,468 votes.
Kenneth Luff received 834 votes.
For the Office of Trustee:
The canvassing hoard declared that Lloyd J. Blanchard
received the plurality of votes.
Perry Malvin received 1,010 votes.
Charles D. La Vaque received 982 votes.
Arthur Schott received 764 vote::
Elmer Palen received 722 votes.
The canvassing board declared that Perry Malvin and
Charles La Vaque received the plurality of votes.
For the Office of Justice of the Peace:
Charles Hall received 1,358 votes.
James Schlichtmann received 456 votes.
Samuel B. Fried received 447 votes.
The canvassing board declared that Charles Hall
received the plurality of votes.
Motion by Schott to accept the results of the Village
Election from the returns. The candidates having the plurality of
votes were declared duly elected.

Perry Malvin Trustee 3 year term
Charles La Vaque Trustee 1 year term
Charles Hall Justice of the Peace 2 year term
Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes.
Motion Carried.
Motion by Blanchard to adjourn. Seconded by La Vaque.
Meeting adjourned at 7:10 P.M.
