HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1965/05/03PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Special Meeting of the Village Council was called to order by Mayor Hodges at 7:00 P.M. May 3i 1965 at the Village Hall 2401 Highway 10. Present Were: Mayor: Clerk: Trustees: Donald C. Hoages Lloyd J. Blanchard Charles D. La Vaque Perry Malvin Ingram Rustad 0J0050 Also Present: Engineer: E.V. Comstock Attorney: Richard Meyers Adm. Clerk: Paul E. Boog Motion by Hodges to appoint Mr. Roy Gale, 8227 Groveland Road as the Mounds View Village Fire Marshall. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. Motion by Rustad to grant permission to the Village Engineers, Comstock and Davis, to do the work necessary to complete the following: A proposed platting and final plots for Mr. E.J. Koblas, owner. Plotting would be located in the SW of the SE% of Section 7, Township 30, Range @3, lying south of Woodale Drive, and North of the Village Park letween Fairchild and Red Oak Drive. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. .lotion Carried. Motion by Blanchard to raise the pay of Arlene Robinson by fifteen cents ($.15) per hour. Her rate of pay would be one dollar and seventy -five cents per hour. Effective date, end of six months probation, April 12, 1965. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. Motion by Rustad to hire Mr. Timothy Smith as a part time Village Police Officer as recommended by the Police Commission to be effective May 4, 1965. Rate of pay to be $2.00 per hour. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. Motion by Blanchard to concur with the Building Inspectors recommendation to approve the final plans of the Pure Oil Station to be located on Highway 10 and County Road H -2. To direct the Attorney to publish the final rezoning notice. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. Motion carried. The Engineer was directed to prepare a change order relating to the Sewer Maintenance Building. Motion by La Vaque to direct the Engineer to do a preliminary future street study for the area North of Sherwood Road and West of ong Lake Road to the Village limits. To submit a proposed street ocation plan for this area. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. -2- 010051 Motion by Blanchard to grant the request of Mr. Wesley Ehlers 6929 Pleasant View 0rive to reserve the Village Hall on the third Saturday of each month for Square Dancing. This would extend for a beriod of one year starting in May 1965 at a rate of $11.00 per month. subject to cancellation by the Council if the hall is needed for Village functions. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes, Motion Carried, A proposed Sewer Ordinance was discussed. Motion by Rusted to abate the following water bills after applying the water meter deposit to the diliquent bills. Mr. Chaucey Wilmot, 2515 County Road H ($10.50) Ten dollars and fifty cents balance to be abated. Mr. Lawrence Erickson, 2566 Sherwood Road ($12.75) Twelve dollars and seventy.five cents balance to be abated. (Neither used water) Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes, Motion Carried. Motion by La Vaque to abate the following water bill of I. C. Rustad, 7820 Gloria Cireie ($22.75) Twenty -Two dollars and Seventy.five eents acaured in 1961 at that time the water was determined bad. Testing of the water resulted Seeonded by Malvin;. 4 Ayes. Rusted abstained. Motie* Carried. Motion by La Vaque to turn off the Municipal Water at eleven vacant houses water to be kept off ustil watoe bills are paid. Seconded by Hodges, 5 Ayes, Motion carried.
