VILLAGE OF M'7UNDS VIEW

The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was
called to order by Acting Mayor Rusted at 8 :00 P.M. on October 25,1955
at 2401 Highway #10.
Present Were:
Acting Mayor: I.C. Rustad
Clerk: Lloyd J. Blanchard
Trustee: Charles La Vague
Perry Malvin
Absent:
Mayor: Donald Hodges

Engineer: Sheldon Boehm

Treasurer: Irene Edberg

Motion by La Vague to approve Minutes of October 11,1965
meeting as presented, Seconded by Malvin. 4 ayes.
Motion by Rustad to approve Minutes of October 18,1965
meeting as presented. Seconded by La Vague, 4 ayes.
Mr.'Rustad reported that sewer service from N,S.S,S.D. was
available to all villages in the district but Mounds View, but would
be ready for our village near January 15,1966,
Motion by La Vague to order from Northern States Power
6000 lumen lights at the folio wing locations,
1. Halfay between Highway 10 and Co. Rd. J on Spring
Lake Road
2. Intersection of Greenwood and Woodcrest
3. Intersection of Hillview and Eastwood
Seconded by Malvin. 4 ayes.
A developers request for personal opinion of the Council
regarding the chances for a mobile home park near Long Lake Road
and County Road H2, was presented. The Council indicated that this
development would probably not be approved due to nearby residents
objections,
National Funds Inc. presented a request for elimination of
basement on their Mobile Home Park utility building.
Motion by Malvin to concur with Building Inspectors request
and eliminate the basement from the utility building at the Mobile
Home Park on H2 and Highway 8. Seconded by La Vague. 4 ayes.
The Police Department was authorized to release the
impounded pistol to the owner, J Iverson, of 2470 Clearview Drive.

Motion by Rustad to concur with Police Department request
and have stop sign installed on 4th Street at Woodale Drive, and to
have a "Slow Children "sign installed on Groveland Road, between
Highway #10 and County Road I. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 ayes.
Mr. La Vaque reported that 24 sewer permits have been issued
under the temporary permit resolution,
The Planning Commission minutes for October were read and
Motion by La Vaque to grant su'Aivision request for
Mr. Palmer, 8360 Eastwood, subject to payment of fees and filing of
proper papers according to ordinance. Seconded by Malvin. 4 ayes.

Motion Blanchard to reset public hearing on water project
for extension from Groveland Road, East on Highway #10, approximately
800 feet, to November 8, 1965 at 9 :00 P.M. Seconded by Rustad.4 aye's.

Mr. Peichel, 8400 Long Lake Road, spoke in favor of the improvement.
Acting Mayor Rustad called 3 times for further objectors and there
were none. The hearing closed by the Acting Mayor at 9:15 P.M.

Motion by La Vaque to abandon the proposed improvement for Sanitary
Sewer extension on Long Lake Road. Seconded by Rustad. 4 ayes.
At the advice of the Engineer, the subject of bids for two
water projects was discussed. Motion by Blanchard to advertise for
bids for water improvement project 1965 -4. Bids closing date 8th of
November 1965 at 7 :00P.M‘ Seconded by Malvin. 4 ayes..
Motion by Blanchard to pay bills received total: "14,061.95.
List attached. Seconded by Rustad. 4 ayes.
Motion by Blanchard to approve license applications received.
List attached. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 ayes.
The clerk reported that a copy of the County Road H extension
from Long Lake Road to Highway #10, County Project #65 -88, had been
received and referred to the Engineer for study.
Motion by Blanchard to hire Cayl Alich as Clerk- Typist
effective October 18,1965 at 51.50 per hour, with 6.month: probation
period. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 ayes.
Motion by Rustad to set Public Hearing for rezoning of
Lots 8 and 9, Spring Lake Park, Knolls Addition. (Thorsen request)
for November 22, 1965 at 9:00 P.M. Seconded by Malvin. 4 ayes.
Motion by Malvin to adjourn. Seconded by Rustad. 4 ayes.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
