HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1966/07/25Proceedings of the Village Council Village of Mounds View Ramsey County, Minnesota Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Special Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order'at 7 :00 p.m. on July 25, 1966 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10. Members Present: Mayor I. C. Rustad Clerk Lloyd J. Blanchard Trustee Perry Malvin Trustee Richard Johnson Absent: Trustee Gary Lang A Public Hearing for concrete curb and gutters in the Twelve r)aks Area was opened by Mayor Rustad. The Clerk read the legal notice and attested to the publishing and mailing of same. Seconded by Johnson. 4 Ayes. Motion by Johnson to order concrete curb and gutter for Red Oak Drive. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. Motion by Johnson to order concrete curb and gutter for Sunnyside Road. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. Motion by Malvin to order concrete curb and gutter for Rainbow Lane. Seconded by Johnson. 4 Ayes. Motion by Johnson to order concrete curb and gutter for Greenwood Drive. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. The Public Hearing was adjourned at 7:35 p.m. Respec full ub ,ittl; Loyd R.anchard Village Clerk Proceedings of the Village Council Village of Mounds View Ramsey County, Minnesota The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 p.m. on July 25, 1966 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10. Officials Present: Mayor Ingram Rustad Clerk Lloyd J. Blanchard Trustee Perry Malvin.. Trustee Gary Lang Trustee Richard Johnson Also Present: Engineer Shelly Boehm Mr. Ferguson presented an application for a house moving permit. Motion by Rustad to set a Public Hearing for House Moving. Hearing to be held August 8, 1966 at 8:30 p.m. Seconded by Johnson. 5 Ayes The Spring View Lane Water Improvement Project was discussed. Motion by Blanchard to approve the water project 327 feet West of Knollwood Drive. Seconded by Malvin. 3 Ayes. (Rustad, Blanchard, Malvin, Aye; Johnson, Lang, Naye) The Knoll Drive Road Improvement was again discussed and Mr. Lang and Engineer Boehm were directed to meet with homeowners on the site on Tuesday, July 26 at 8:00 a.m. and settle the matter so that the road could be completed. The Mayor announced that the Village Officials are invited to participate in the Ramsey County Fair Parade to be held July 27, 1966. The Engineer was directed to make available a work schedule of the various road projects in the Village. The question of raises for the maintenance department was discussed. The policy as set previously is to have a six month probation period and the first raise will be considered after the first of the year. The Building Inspector recommended a delay on the variance request of Mr. D. Hanson for an extension to the front of his house. Two h drants wIil be installed in the Lois and Knoll r a Tho cost of the matfial is $550.00 and the work will be done by the maintenance department. Motion by Johnson to order necessary material for auuve project. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to approve bills submitted totaling $81,862.22, Seconded by Lang. 5 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to approve final pe. Northern Contracting for projects 1966 -1 and 1965 -3 and to enter into one year warranty bond agreement.
