HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1966/08/01Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Special Meeting of the Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 6:30 P.M. on August 1, 1966 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10. Officials Present: Mayor Clerk Trustee Trustee Trustee Also Present: Engineer Shelly Boehm Public Works Walter Skiba Petitions were received for curb and gutter improvement on Eastwood Road from County Road H to Woodcrest abd for Greenwood Drive from Woodale to Woodcrest. Motion by Blanchard to set a public hearing for petitioned improvements on Greenwood Drive and Eastwood Road. Hearing will be held on August 15, 1966 at 7 :00 P.M. Seconded by Johnson. 5 Ayes. Motion by Johnson to set special assessment hearing for Lot 28, Knollwood Park, Messiah Lutheran Church property, to re- institute the special assessment levied for $485.65 for water improvement. Said assessment was oaid in error by a lending institution. Hearing to be hela on August 15, 1966 at 6:45 P.M. Seconded by Lang. 5 Ayes. The Engineer presented a resolution regarding re- designation of State Aid Streets. Motion by Johnson to adopt Resolution #252 evoking State Aid Streets. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. Motion by Johnson to certain State Aid Streets Motion by Rustad to Schedule C, and Estimate to Sandstrom 8, Hefner in Seconded by Johnson. Blanchard Richard Johnson Perry Malvin Gary Lang adopt Resolution Seconded by Bla rd. 5 Ayes. signating pay Estimate #1 for Project 1966 -3, #2 for Project 1966 -3, Schedule B, the total amount of $48,649.14. 5 Ayes. Motion by Malvin to pay the Police officers that request it, the money due them for their vacation earned at their regular rate of pay. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. The Clerk's Office was directed to send a certified letter to Robert Bona regarding steps that will be taken if the sewer permit ($150.00) has not been paid within ten daye Tha Engineer presented a preliminary report for Federal Grant Application. Motion by Rusted to authorize the Engineer to complete the application for Federal Grant for completing the water system. Seconded by Lang. 5 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution #254 requesting certejn engineer assistance from the State Highway Department. Seconded by Jo 5 Ayes. The Eng:.neer was directed to inform the State that the Village will not expend more than $300,00 per month for this service. Motion by Johnson to adjourn. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes.
