Officials Present: Acting Mayor Clerk Trustee Trustee Also Present: Engineer Attorney Absent: Mayor Motion by Johnson 27, 1966 as presented. Proceedings of the Village Council Village of Mounds 'View Ramsey County, Minnesota the Mounds View Village by Acting Mayor Malvin at at the Village Hall, 2401 Perry Malvin Lloyd J. Blanchard Richard Johnson Gary Lang Shelly Boehm Richard Meyers Ingram Rusted to approve the minutes of June Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes Motion by Malvin to approve the minutes of July 5, 1966 as presented. Seconded by Lang. 4 Ayes. Motion by Johnson to approve the minutes of July 11, 1966 as presented. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. Motion by Lang to approve the minutes of July 12, 1966 as presented. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. Motion by Malvin to approve the minutes of July 18, 1966 as presented. Seconded by Lang. 4 Ayes. Motion by Malvin to approve the minutes of July 25, 1966 as presented. Seconded by Lang. 4 Ayes. A petition for a street light on the Quincy Erickson walk- through was received. Motion by Malvin to order the street light (600 Lumen) from Northern States Power Company. Seconded by Lang. 4 Ayes. The Council was asked to have the walk -way blacktopped and plowed in the winter. This was referred to the Agenda Meeting. A resident's questions regarding the sand piles on Hillview Road was referred to NSSSD for answer. A petition is being taken for a Civil Defense warning siren. date. The Police Department impounded two BB Guns this Motion by Malvin to release the impounded BB Guns to Mr. D. Anderson and Mr. Lignell. Seconded by Johnson. 4 Ayes. The Acting Mayor opened the Public Hearing at 8:40 p.m. The Clerk read the legal description and attested to the publication end mailing of same. The Building Inspector approved the building. The Acting Mayor called three times for objectors. There were none, The Hearing was closed by the Acting Mayor. Motion by Johnson to approve the request to move the house into Mounds View. Seconded by Lang. 4 Ayes. The B E Patrol Report for July was read and filed. The Police Report for July was read and filed. The .Building Inspector requested a variance for Robert Eigenheer. Motion by Malvin to grant a five foot variance on Lot 11, Block 18, Pinewood Terrace #5. Subject to payment of fees. Seconded by Johnson. 4 Ayes. The Council was informed that the broken water main on Silver Lake Road and Woodcrest Drive is under repair. The Engineer presented a change order for Dunkley- Surfacing (1966 -7) for work on Edgewood Road. Motion by Johnson to approve Change Order #1. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. The Engineer submitted a report for the ultimate village water system to apply for a Federal Grant. (on file). Motion by Blanchard to authorize the Acting Mayor to execute the application for federal aid on the ultimate water system. Seconded by Lang. 4 Ayes. Motion by Johnson to allow Comstock Davis to do survey work for Dale Carlson Lot 7, Block 17, Pinewood Terrace #5, Seconded by Lang. 4 Ayes. There will be a preliminary assessment role hearing for the Council and Engineer on August 10, 1966 at 6 :30 p.m. The Attorney reported that t recent vote by the Council! for Spring View Lane Water Improvement had failed as a 4/5 majority wa needed, but only a 3/4 majority was received. Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted totaling $348,612.60. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to enter into a one year warranty bond with Sandstrom Hefner, Seconded `by Malvin. 4 Ayes. licenses submitted. 8470 Eastwood Dr. 372 County Road F 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to approve General Contractor R 8 R Builders Minneapolis, Excavator Quality Sewer Service St. Paul, Minnesota Seconded by ,Malvin. Motion by Lang to set a public hearing for rezoning the O'Neil property on Long Lake Road and Highway #10. Hearing date is set for August 22, 1966 at 9:00 p.m. Seconded by Johnson. 4 Ayes.
