PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RANLSEY'COCNTY, MINN. <br />The regular meeting of the Village Council was called <br />order by Mayor Rusted at 8:00 P.M. nn Ictober 10 1966 <br />he Village Hall, 2401 Highway 10. <br />rZIALS'. <br />Mayor Ingram C. Rustad <br />Clerk Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Trustee Richard Johnson <br />Trustee Gary Lang <br />Trustee Perry Malvin <br />SO PRESENT <br />Engineer Sheldon Biehm <br />Attorney Richard Meyers <br />Public Works Walter Skiba <br />Motion by Johnson to approve the minutes •if Septt. 26th <br />as presented. Seconded by Lang. 5 Ayes <br />Mri' Petersen of Red Oak Drive questioned the street <br />~'surfacing assessment by the Village when Red Oak Drive is <br />tieing dope by the County. Mr. Meyers explained that the $1.50 <br />per foot covers only a portion of the entire project. The <br />^oney is going -to defray portion of the entire project. <br />This is mainly ,a formula of obtaining the necessary assessme.-: <br />money for bond redemption. Mr. Peterson feels that County <br />monads should not be assessed as the county will maintain. <br />it was reported that the structures at the Mobile Home <br />_k are being connected. <br />Mr. Mueller a resident was informed by the attorney <br />':At all property in the village would be assessed a $1.50 <br />front foot to cover a portion of the entire sewer drainag-' <br />'d improvement. <br />The residents were informed that Driveways will be <br />enaired. <br />The matter of black dirt on Greenwood Drive was referred <br />-�o the Engineer. <br />A letter regarding "Employ the Physically Handicapped" <br />"k was read. The Mayor urged the local busino-- mdntto <br />'1y. The letter was put on file. <br />The letter from Mr. Reeder of School District 621 <br />—As read. The Village is to appoint one member from the <br />"nds View Village Recreation Committee to serve with the <br />.-o1 recreation Committee <br />The B.& E. Patrol report for September was read and <br />4 .led. <br />The police report for September was read and filed. <br />A letter from the Police Civil Service Commission was <br />?d and filed. <br />Motion by Malvin to hire George William Kateras as part <br />patrolman per recommendation of the Police Civil Serve^ <br />^sion. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. <br />The Engineer presented contracts with Ervin Montgomery <br />water project on Spring View Lane. A petition request'- <br />-ter extension North 164 on Spring View Lane was received <br />-i referred to the Engineer. <br />Motion by Johnson to have Engineer prepare the assessment <br />'e for concrete curbs and gutters. Seconded by Malvin. <br />5 Ayes. <br />
