HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1966/11/10VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY MINNESOTA A special meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was held at the Village Hall r' 2401 Highway 10 to canvass the votes of tilt. Village Election of November 8, 1966. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. on November 10, 1966 by Mayor Rustad with the following members present: Mayor Ingram C. Rustad Clerk Lloyd J. Blanchard Trustee Gary Lang Trustee Richard Johnson and the following members absent: Trustee Perry Malvin At the annual Village Election of the Village of Mounds View in the County of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, held at Red Oak School, Pinewood School and Edgewood Jr. High School, being the place where it was declared to be held by the Village Council after giving due notice thereof as provided by law. TheElection Judges duly took and subseribed an oath of affirmation to faith fully discharge the duties required of them at such election: and the said Judges being duly qualified, forthwith opened the polls by proelomation, and the Election proceeded by ballot adjournment or intermission untill closfad: The subjects voted on at such Election as stated in the notice thereof, were to elect: 1 Clerk 1 Trustee 1 Justice of the Peace At 8 :00 OTClock in the evening of said day the polls were closed, proclomation thereof having been made by one of the Judges thirty minutes previous thereto. The Judges then proceeded to publicly count and canvass the votes, and a true statement thereof was duly proclaimed to the voters by the Clerk who recorded the same in the Village Minutes Book. STATEMENT CF RESULT OF CANVASS The following is a true statement of the results of the counting and canvassing of votes by ballot at the Annual Village Election of the Village of Mounds View, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota held November 8. 1966 as proclaimed to the voters by the Clerk of Election from a meeting of the Mounds View Village Council acting as a canvassing board as prescribed by Minnesota Atatue 205.06, Subd. 2. For the Office of Clerk: PCT. #1 Lloyd J. Blanchard 268 Robert Walser 377 The canvassing board declared the plurality of votes. For the Office of Trustee PUT 1 Ernest Johnson 317 Richard Johnson 323 PCT# 2 ACT# 3 TOTAL 244 232 744 328 204 909 that Robert Walser received ACT #2 PCT. #3 309 189 253 243 TOTAL 815 819 The canvassin board declared that Richard Johnson received the plurality of votes. For the Office of Justice of the Peace: ACT. 1 F T 2 Charles La Vague 563 499 ACT. #3 TOTAL 382 1444 The canvassing board declared the/ Charles La Vague received the plurality of votes. For Members at Large N.S.S.S.D. PCT. 1 D. E. Wegler 157 James F. Wolfe 182 G. C. Londroche 102 James L. Becker 142 PCT. 2 PCT. 3 TOTAL 152 111 420 159 136 477 52 50 204 138 101 381 The canvassing board declared that James F. Wolfe received the plurality of votes.
