PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF M'7UNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Village Council was called <br />to order by Acting Mayor Malvin at 8 :OOP.M. on November 14, <br />1966 at the ViLlage Hell, 2401 Highway "10. °a• <br />'FFICIALS PRESENT: <br />Aeting Mayor Perry Malvin <br />Clerk Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Trustee Richard Johnson <br />Trustee Gary Lang <br />ABSENT <br />Mayor I. C. Rusted <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Attorney Richard Meyers <br />Engineer Shelly Boehm <br />Treasurer i_ene Edberg <br />Public Works Walter Skiba <br />Motion by Johnson to approve the minutes of October <br />24, 1966 as presented. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Lang to approve the minutes of November <br />10, 1966. Seconded by Johnson. 3 Ayes. Malvin abstained. <br />(Absent Nov, 10, 1966). <br />Mr. Malvin read the B. 8 E. Patrol Report for October. <br />On file, <br />Mr. Malvin read the Police Report for 'lctober. On file. <br />Motion by Malvin to award the low bid to Midway Ford <br />in the amount of $2,183,00 allowing $650.00 tra'e -in allowance <br />for the 1965 Ranch Wagon. Seconded by Johnson. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Lang to approve the lot splits for Mr. Seberg <br />and Mr. Ackerman as requested. Seconded by Malvin. Motion <br />and Second withdrawn and matter referred to the Engineer. <br />Motion by Johnson to install street lights at all <br />streets that intersect with County Road J. Also at the <br />intersection of Arden Avenue and Long Lake Road. Seconded <br />by Lang, 4 Ayes. <br />The Clerkts Office was directed to write a letter to <br />the County Engineer asking to share the cost of installation of <br />street lights on County Roads.(Copy to Ed. Salverda). <br />Mr, Johnson gave a report on the Recreation Department. <br />Gn file, He also stated that there are two vacancies <br />on the Recreation Committee and any interested person should <br />contact Mr. Hodges, <br />The Clerkts Office was directed to write to the Post <br />Office asking them to change the East Boundary of the <br />Minneapolis mailing zone from Fairchild Avenue to Knollwood <br />Drive. <br />Mr. Skiba reported that the Mounds View Mobile Home <br />Park fuel oil tank now meets the Village Requirements. <br />The Engineer presented Change Order 3 for improvement <br />project 19666 and it was discussed with the Council. <br />Motion by Blanchard to adopt Change Order #3 for <br />C. S. McCrossan's improvement project 1066 -6. Seconded <br />by Lang, 4 Ayes. <br />The Engineer was instructed to have a street report <br />ready for the next agenda meeting. <br />
