The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village
Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 p.m.
on December 12,1966 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10.

Motion by Lang to approve Minutes of 12 -5 -66 as presented
Seconded by Rustad 5 Ayes.
Mayor Rustad reported that the N. S.S.S.D. has let
'he contract for the Lexington Circle Pines extension of the mains.
The clerks office was instructed to contact the
Apache Plaza Clinic for a possibe candidate for village health
officer.
Mr. Malvin gave the B E Patrol report and the Police
report for November. (on file)
Motion Malvin to concur with Police Cheifs recomendation
send work order to N. S. P. for installation of one 6000 lumen
street light at Co. Rd. H and Edgewood Dr. Seconded by Johnson
5 Ayes.
Mr. Johnson reported that Skating rinks should be open
by this weekend and that a schedule of open hours would be posted
and published.
Motion by Johnson to hire the following people as
warming house attendants for the 1966 -1967 season.

assessments on certain lands taken for public purposes

The first reading of the proposed street opening
ordinance was held. No action taken.
The first reading of the proposed parking ordinance
was held. No action taken.
The attorney was directed to pursue the request for
the final payment of tornado fund money. The money is held up
pending an on -site audit, but after repeated requests for this
audit, no action has been noticed. The attorney will request
assistance from congressmen and senators if necessary.
Mr. Boehm, village engineer gave a brief report on
the meeting with Ramsey County :Engineer regarding municipal
improvement on county roads.
The clerk executed the request for the payment of the
35W drainage money from the Highway dept.(crossing at Hillview
and 35W), and was dicrected to forward same to highway department.
The clerks office was directed to add a further request

for the federal aid for water improvement projects.
The cost of street blacktopping repair equipment is
being checked on for possible purchase.
Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted totalling
$277,228.58. Seconded by Rustad. Amount was reduced by $25,519.36
for Lametti check.
Motion Blanchard to approve find payment to P. Lametti
subject to final approval of village attorney and after said
final approval to enter into the one year warranty agreement
on the projects. 1964 -3 schedule C. Seconded by Johnson Ayes 5.
Motion Blanchard to approve final estimates on two
Orfei project and enter in one year warranty agreement.
Seconded by Rustad Ayes 5.
Motion Blanchard to request public examiner audit for
the period from the last public examininers audit thru December
31, 1966 Seconded by Rustad. Ayes 5.
Motion by Blanchard to accept the resignation of
Diane Rosenberg as clerk typist effective December 30,1966.
Seconded by Malvin Ayes 5.
Motion by Blanchard to hire Marlys Overson as clerk
typist until January 1, 1967. Seconded by Johnson Ayes5.
Motion by Blanchard to pay the Village of Spring Lake
Park for sewer construction in the Village of Mounds View in the
amount of $4,277.80 The following are the properties involved
1. Lot 1, Block 1, Lakeside Court
2. Lot 6, Block 1, Lakeside Court
3. ;.rth Part of Lot 23 Aud Sub #89
4. North Part of Lot 26 Aud Sub #89
Seconded by Lang Ayes 5.
Public hearing at 9:00 p.m. on rezoning. Legel was
read. Mayor called three times for objections there were none.
The bearing was closed.
Motion by Johnson to rezone as requested subject to
approval and issuance fo Building permit. Seconded by Malvin
Ayes 5.
No off sale liquor licences considered or granted for
Mueller property as this date.
