HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1966/12/28PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY,'MINNESOTA DECEMBER 28, 1966 The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was c -:lied to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 1966 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota, 55112. OFFICIALS PRESENT Mayor I. C. Rustad Trustee Richard Johnson Trustee Gary Lang OFFICIALS ABSENT Clerk Trustee Lloyd J. Blanchard Perry Malvin ALSO PRESENT Attorney Richard Meyers Engineer Sheldon Boehm Deputy Clerk Marilyn Lidberg Motion by Johnson to approve the minutes of December 12, 1966. Seconded by Lang. 3 Ayes Clerk's Office was directed to contact Dr. Sartor of Mach, Mach and Sartor of Apache Plaza to see if he is willing to accept the position_ of Health Officer for the Village of Mounds View for the year 1967. Motion by Johnson to send the inspectors to the University of Minnesota extension course. Seconded by Lang. 3 Ayes The attorney was directed to prepare a resolution regarding the New Zoological Gardens at Battle Creek Park. The resolution will be presented at the next meeting. Mr. Kalahan approached the council regarding the street number- ing on Silver Lake Road. Rustad reported he had talked to the postal officials and the matter will be given further consideration after the holidays. Motion was made by Johnson authorizing the attorney to negotiate for the Ruth White Easement. Seconded by Lang. Ayes Motion by Rustad to adopt Resoluti #269 n the lot split #37262 on MA 34, #42 and #47. Seconded b on. 3 Ayes The attorney discussed the trial of Tuesday, January 3, 1967, at 9:00 a.m. Greene Vs. Village of Mounds View and C. S. McCrossan regarding damages to the Sewer Service Line. The maintenance men have been subpoenaed by Greene. The attorney suggested a zsentative from Comstock and Davis, Inc. should be designated to be present at the trial Motion Rustad/Johnson) Comstock and Davis, Inc. are directed to have a representative at the trial. Carried. 3 Ayes Motion was made by Lang authorizing the attorney to prepare an agreement between the Village and Mr. and Mrs. Cloud regarding a perma- nent sanitary sewer installation in their home. Seconded by Johnson. 3 Ayes. The Engineer brought up the matter of the Ackerman Lot Split in the Northwest corner of the Village. He said lot split, as proposed, would conflict with a possible future road. Mr Lang is going to in vestigate the matter and contact Mr. Ackerman. Motion by Rusted to approve the bills totaling $44,641.89. Seconded by Johnson. 3 Ayes Motion by Rusted to approve final payment of the DunkleY Surfac- ing Company, Project #1965 -1 on Street Improvement and enter into one year warranty bond agreement. Seconded by Johnson. 3 Ayes Motion by Rusted to approve licenses submitted (List Attached). Seconded by Johnson. 3 Ayes No further business.
