Present: Also Present: I.C. Rustad, Mayor Richard Meyers, Attorney Robert Walser, Clerk Sheldon Boehm, Engineer Perry Malvin, Trustee Richard Johnson, Trustee Gary Lang, Trustee (':falser -Lang) To correct the minutes of July 26, inserting a motion lust prior to the motion to ad'oura, that did not appear in the re- produced copy and read: M/S /P Johnson, Malvin) to approve the variance requested by Dahlberg Builders. 5 Ayes M:'S/P (Johnson- Malvin) To approve the minutes of July 24 corrected to read 'ltgr Construction Grant Federal Water Grant (the word water replacing the word sewer) in the two last motions before the motion to adjourn. 5 Ayes .,dent, Mrs. Peterson, read a statement objecting to the issuance a permit to the Launching Pad permiting the parking of a house bailer used a union strike headquarters. ::.enbEr.. of the council commented on the situation and discussed the M/S /P (Malvin Walser) To send a letter to the Launching Pad to the union involved, that the trailer permit has been revoked and that the Launching Pad has until Wed. evening at 6:00 P.M. to move it out ci the village. 5 Ayes lr. ;stee Lang questioned Launching Pad use of both sides of H2 for parking. The problem was discussed. Resident, Mrs. Peterson, questioned Lakeside Park activity. Mayor Rustad is council representative Mr. Don Haes is chairman. A report will be prepared made available. Local builder, Mr. Eigenheer, questioned 1, 5 street by school school would only recondemn so it will be built as a half a street. N(/S /P (Lang- Johnson) To give Mr. Goodroad tentative approval of his lot split_ for a lot on Silver Lake Road. A building permit will be issued. 5 Ayes Peterson questioned what land is park property. 'he village office was directed to work on bulletin boards or other ethods to better communication with residents. ;1/S /P (Lanr'- Johnson) T.3 set the hearing on the Dropps rezoning, Lot 10 'Cnollwood Park, address is 7120 Silver Lake Road from R1A to R3 to construct a 12 unit apartment, for Sept. 25, 8:30 P.M. 5 Ayes VS/P (Lang Johnson) To grant a variance for Gerald Schneider 5314 St. Stephens St. a 5 yd setback on N.E. side of garage. 5 Ayes Problem with #2 well commented on by Mayor. It will be in operation by 4:30 tomorrow afternoon. Engineer reported a problem with the county Data Processing handling of incrersed assessments -the attorney will assist in finding a solution. 5 Ayes The Sanitary Sewer Water Project Plans Spec's for 1967 -5 Eigenheer) are ready. M /S /P (Lang- Johnson) To accept final plans specification for sewer and water project 1967 -5 and to order the clerk to advertise for bids '.n the legal paper and Construction Bulletin. Bids to be opened Sept. 25 at 12:00 Noon. 5 Ayes The Federal 'Mater Grant application has been completed by the Attorney and Engineer for $558,550.00 and is ready to be submitted. Included in the application are new wells, storage facilities, distribution lines, and water treatment plants and proposed inter connection with the water systems of New Brighton and Fridley. The tonal project cost is estimated to be $1,331,400.00.. (Johnson Rusted) Authorized expenses for two representatives to go to Chicago to present the water grant application. The finishing of Knollwood Drive blvds. was questioned.
