October 9, 1967
The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called
to order by Mayor Rusted at 8:00 P.M., on Monday, October 9, 1967
at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112.

Council discussed Greenfield Park and agreed to rent a bulldozer for
$180.00 per week to level the land in the park. Engineer and Attorney
to advise.

and Water and Homer's Sewei Service.

and that the Mayor be authorized to sign it on behalf of the Village.
Contract regards installation of a tank and pump and the service of
gasoline by Gulf Oil for a one year period.
Mayor Rustad announced that next Monday, October 16, there would be a
hearing at 8:00 P.M. on a house moving into the Villfge at 7755 Spring
Lake Road.
Trustee Malvin read the police report for September.
Trustee Malvin also announced that Spring Lake Park had written a letter
to J. Jamieson Jr. of the Highway Department in regards to semafores on
Highway #10 but that they didn't receive a favorable reply.

Mayor Rustad requested the school children in the audience to write
Jamieson about semafores if interested.
Trustee Johnson commented on crossing Highway #10.
Trustee Johnson read resignation letter of Walt Johnson.

M /S /P Johnson,Lang) To put Optional Plan A on the November ballot. 4 Ayes
Mayor Rustad commented on requirements of going to Plan A by 1970 by
law anyway. The clerk keeps his term of office.
Trustee Lang no business.
Greenfield resident arriving late at the. meeting thanked Mayor Rustad
for authorizing some action be taken on Greenfield Park.
Inspectors and Civil Defense no reports.

M /S /P (Malvin,Johnson) To correct an assessment for Siwek Fuel and
Lumber Company Inc. on D.P. 435. Deletion of $127.05 from the original
assessment. Res. #329. 4 Ayes
M /S /P (Malvin,Lang) Authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to sign Flatz and
Birkeland agreements authorizing Mounds View to collect additional
assessments for their lot splits. 4 Ayes
M /5 /P (Rustad,Lang) To approve the lot split for Charles Flatz.
Attorney Meyers notified the Council of legal action being brought by
the State against various chemical companies for price fixing. State
advised us of the action and want to know if we want to join in the case.
Attorney advised us to abstain.
On Project 1967 -5 Eigenheers 2nd Addition the contractor has requested a
lift station manufactured by Universal Sanitary Equipment Manufacturing
Company, replacing the lift station originally ordered from Smith and
Lovelace, offering a $500.00 reduction in contract price if approved.
Approved by Comstock and Davis October 3, 1967. Delivery dates a factor
also. Five weeks versus eight weeks.

Gulf Oil easement given approval ty the Attorney turned over to the Engineer.
Engineer Boehm told of letter sent to NSSSD giving the anticipated hook -ups
in the next 5 years in the Village.
