HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1968/04/26A Special Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 7:05 P.M. on Friday, April 26, 1968, at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Mayor Rustad Clerk Walser Trustee Johnwon Trustee Malvin Trustee Lang PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA April 26, 1968 Also Present: Attorney Meyers Walter Skiba Mr. and Mrs. Werner and Mr. Eickstadt were invited, but were not in attendance. The purpose of the meeting was to draft a cover letter to accompany the petitions opposing the MAC airport locations, obtained by a duly appointed commission of the Village of Mounds View. The following letter was prepared: The Mounds View Village Council has officially accepted the enclosed petitions, signed by 2,182 citizens of Mounds View, as obtained by a duly appointed committee of the Village of Mounds View, opposing the propsed two MAC Airport sites of Ham Lake and Blaine. The Mounds View Village Council strongly recommends and requests that the MAC give due consideration to this expression of opposition, as indicated by the petitions representing 89% of those Mounds View residents contacted.
