HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1975/09/25A special meeting of Mounds View City Council was called to order by Roger Baumgartner on September 25, 1975, at 7:05 p.m. at Mounds View City Hall, 2401 Highway 10, mounds View, Minn. 55112 Present: Councilman Baumgartner Councilman Shelquist Councilman Pickar Absent: Mayor Johnson Councilman Hodges PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Also Present: Clerk- Admin. Achen Engineer Bearden MSP (Shelquist Pickax) to appoint Councilman Baumgartner acting Mayor for this meeting. Shelquist Aye Pickar Aye Baumgartner Aye Acting Mayor Baumgartner asked Engineer Bearden to explain bids received on construction of the city hall parking lot. Bearden noted there were 6 bidders with Forest Lake Construction, Inc., being lowest bidder. Engineer Bearden indicated Rice Creed Watershed District did not approve the original parking lot design. They have required that a baffled weir he constructed with each catch basin. Plans call for two catch basins. Council discussed alternations in Schedule C- Landscaping anc came to the conclusion that city forces could do part of this work. They discussed the sidewalk leading to the tot lot and decided that it was not necessary, because the restrooms are in the maintenance building whicn is on the other s of the tot Zot. MSP Pickar- Saumgartner) to accept low bid of Forest Lake Construction, Inc. for city hall parking lot in the amount of $37,799.50. 3 Ayes Page 2 September 25, 1975 Engineer Bearden indicated Item 13 PrimeCoat might be eliminated if the weather stays good. MSP! (Shelquist- Pickar) to make Item 13 optional, to delete concrete walkway to tot lot and install such from the main parking lot to the south building door. Clerk- Administrator Achen asked for approval to distribute payroll checks to the police for retroactive pay. MSP (Baumgartner Pickar) to approve issuance of payroll checks No. 2253- 03002 and transfer check No. 11183.
