HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1979/11/05 kwsi PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Mayor McCarty called the Council meeting to order at 10:12 p.m. on November 5, 1979. This meeting was a Special Session of the City Council which was properly announced at the Special Session pursuant to the Minnesota Statutes. Members present: Mayor McCarty, Council- 2. ROLL CALL members Rowley, Ziebarth, Hodges. Members Absent: Councilmember Forslund (due to vacation during the week of Nov- ember 5). Resolution No. 1044 was introduced to the City Council which outlined the date, time and place of the Special Election to be held on December 4, 1979, for the purposes of determining the City's need for a Charter. Councilmen Rowley moved the adoption of this resolution and it was seconded by Ziebarth. 4 ayes O nays The City Administrator submitted to the City Council a resolution appointing the Election Judges for the above mentioned Special Elec- tion. Noted to the Council that the staff i;t the appointment process strived for equal balance between Independent Republicans and Democrats, although not required under the Minnesota Statutes. Ziebarth moved to the adoption of Resolution No. 1045, the appointment of Election Judges, and was seconded by Hodges. 4 ayes O nays There being no further business before the City Council, the Mayor called for adjournment. Rowley moved the adjournment of the Special Session of the City Council of November 5.
