CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON JACKSON DRIVE BETWEEN
COUNTY ROAD H2 AND COUNTY ROAD I
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 7176 on October 22, 2007
establishing the Street and Utility Improvement Program (Program), which includes nine
Street and Utility Improvement Projects identified as Areas A through I; and
WHEREAS, Jackson Drive is a non standard street in Area D of the Program
due to it's Municipal State Aid status; and
WHEREAS, City staff and the Street and Utilities Committee recommended that
Jackson Drive between County Road H2 and Groberg Street be reconstructed to 32-
feet wide, and provide parallel parking on the east side south of Bronson Drive and on
the west side north of Bronson Drive, which the City Council approved by adopting
Resolution 7693 on October 25, 2010; and
WHEREAS, to be eligible for State Aid funding, Jackson Drive must be signed
with "No Parking" or equivalent traffic signs on the sides of the road that do not include
the eight -foot parallel parking bays.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Jackson Drive will be signed with "No Parking" or equivalent traffic signs on the west
side (southbound traffic) between County Road H2 and Bronson Drive.
2. Jackson Drive will be signed with "No Parking" or equivalent traffic signs on the east
side (northbound traffic) between Bronson Drive and County Road I.
