STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A USED TRAILER MOUNTED CRACK FILLING
MACHINE FROM THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON
WHEREAS, routine maintenance, including crack sealing, is a best management
practice for preserving pavements to provide a long service life between reconstruction;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View does not own a crack filling machine to
perform routine maintenance for crack sealing operations; and
WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton has a used 1995 trailer- mounted crack filling
machine for sale in the amount of $4,275 (which includes tax); and
WHEREAS, Public Works Staff is familiar with New Brighton's 1995 crack filling
machine and recommends its purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The purchase of a used 1995 Bearcat "Kracker" crack filling machine from the
City of New Brighton for $4,275 is hereby approved.
2. Payment for the crack filling machine will be funded by the Capital Equipment
account of Street Pavement Management (100- 4470 7030).
