HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000001_pg1313 July 15, 1958 A special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View was held July 15, 1958 at the Mounds View Village Hall, 1450 W. Highway 96. The following members were present: Mayor: James W. Gibson Clerk: Martha Irvine Trustees: John L. Sullivan Reuben G. Achterkirch (arrived 8:30) Ingram C. Rustad and the following were also present: Deputy Clerk: Mary Jean Milbrandt Legal Counsel: Richard Meyers The meeting was opened at 8:00 P.M. by Mayor, James W. Gibson. Mr. Fuglisi appeared regarding a sub- standard home located at 2036 Bronson Drive. The Council will look at the home and make recommendations to Mr. Puglisi as to how he can bring the home up to code. Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Rustad to accept the minutes of the July 1st meeting as corrected. Mr. George Aumer, 5420 Adams informed the Council as to a problem of water standing in the road in front of his home. Referred to Trustee Rustad for action. Mrs. Enga Richert, 8247 Spring Lake Rd. requested information regarding access to her property. Informed this required civil action and the Council could do nothing. Mr. Rodney J. Wilson inquired about selling used and new cars at 1925 Highway 10 in connection with the service station being operated there. Informed that the Village has no Ordinance at the present regulating this operation but he should keep in contact with the Council so there would be no conflict should the Council decide to pass an ordinance in the future. Motion by Irvine, seconded by Sullivan to pass Resolution # 5 "Resolution Establishing Municipal State Aid Street System ". 5 ayes. Motion by Rustad, seconded by Achterkirch to pass Resolution # 6 "Resolution Establishing a Committee to Plan for the Physical Development of the Village and to Recommend a Zoning Plan." 5 ayes. Trustee Sullivan Recommended that John 0. Koontz be appointed as building inspector for the Village. 5 ayes. Trustee Rustad recommended that Robert Edmond be appointed as electrical inspector for the Village effective August 15, 1958. 4 ayes, Sullivan abstained. Trustee Sullivan recommended that George Oster be appointed as plumbing inspector for the Village. 4 ayes, Rustad abstained.
