Upon recommendation of the Mayor the resolution regarding the conduct of meetings
was tabled until the October 7th meeting.
Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Irvine to adopt Township Ordinance #50 as
corrected. 4 ayes, Gibson no.
Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Irvine to appoint Jack Bell and Frank Kilroe
temporarily until January 1st to the Police Commission subject to their consent. 4 ayes,
Gibson no.
Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Rustad to write a letter to School District # 621
stating thatupon recommendation of the village engineer the Council requeststhat the
School District repair or have repaired the curbing which was ruined due to the
negligent operation of equipment by the Grant Co. 5 ayes.
Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Achterkirch to accept proposal for general
engineering services as submitted by Otto Bonestroo & Associates, Inc. 5 ayes.
Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Sullivan to authorize Trustee Rustad to have
several roads patched and have the weeds cut. 5 ayes.
Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Achterkirch to appoint Wally Skiba as Plumbing
Inspector temporarily. 5 ayes.
Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Rustad to have the Mayor inquire about rental
property in the Village which would be available for office space.
Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Rustad to order 3 sets of aerial maps of the Village
of Mounds View. 5 ayes.
Motion by Irvine, seconded by Achterkirch to adjust budget as follows:
Fire Fund $500.00
PERA 479.21
General Fund 11,120.79 ($500.00 extra for Recreation)
5 ayes.
Attorney instructed to write letter to Mrs. Joe Hlavinka concerning moving buildings
within the village.
Motion by Rustad, seconded by Sullivan to approve Resolution #10, resolution
adopting assessment for Edgewood Drive.
Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Rustad to allow the Mounds View Recreation
Department to use the playground at Hillview and Greenwood for a "Lay -by" field
September 20th through November 8th. 5 ayes.
Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Irvine to adjourn at 12:48 A.M.
