Milt Stole Glen Wikre Marilyn Dawson Earl Barry Ken Olson Henry Dyslin Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Gibson to approve contracting licenses 106, Domestic Heating Co., Inc.; 107, A and A Cesspool Service; 108, Burnomatic Industrial; and 109, William.Tulp. Motion carried unanimously. The Deputy Clerk was instructed to write letters to the four engineers who . submitted proposals thanking them for their consideration. Clerk Smith informed the Council of a practice in Columbia Heights to have Mayor for a Day, a.Scout selected by the leaders of the Scout Units, to act as mayor in the Village for one day. He suggested that perhaps it would also be possible to select a girl from the Senior Girl Scout Units to govern as Clerk for a day. Motion by Smith, seconded by Sullivan to enter into such a program. Motion carried unanimously. Suggestion-was made by Sullivan that Clerk Smith prepare a resolution establishing the selection of a Mayor and Clerk for a Day.
