The following citizens of Mounds View were appointed to the Parks and
Recreation Committee:
John Sullivan, Chairman
Alice Frits
Alberta Madsen
Ralph Peterson.
Milt Stole
Glen Wikre
Marilyn Dawson
Earl Barry
Ken Olson
Henry Dyslin
Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Gibson to approve contracting licenses 106,
Domestic Heating Co., Inc.; 107, A and A Cesspool Service; 108, Burnomatic Industrial;
and 109, William.Tulp. Motion carried unanimously.
The Deputy Clerk was instructed to write letters to the four engineers who .
submitted proposals thanking them for their consideration.
Clerk Smith informed the Council of a practice in Columbia Heights to have
Mayor for a Day, a.Scout selected by the leaders of the Scout Units, to act as mayor in
the Village for one day. He suggested that perhaps it would also be possible to
select a girl from the Senior Girl Scout Units to govern as Clerk for a day. Motion
by Smith, seconded by Sullivan to enter into such a program. Motion carried unanimously.
Suggestion-was made by Sullivan that Clerk Smith prepare a resolution establishing
the selection of a Mayor and Clerk for a Day.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Christensen to adjourn at 12:48 A.M.
