HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000002_pg115115 Mr. George Gustafson appeared before the Council in regards to the subdivision of Lot 69 Auditor's Sub Division 89 Ramsey County under Sub lots numbered from 1 to 10 inclusive. The final plat re- ferred to the Planning Commission and the Engineer for checking and a report at the November 3rd meeting. Chief of Police John Robertus appeared before the council and presented a recommendation to hire Dale Pierce as a new patrolman. Chief Robertus stated that Mr. Pierce's qualifications are good and recommendations high. Meeting at 7:00 P.M. at the village office, 5499 Adams Street, Monday night, October 26 to discuss the appointment of a patrolman. Personsliving in the Village of Mounds View who wish to make ap- plication to the Police Department may appear at that time and talk to the Chief of Police, Council and Police Commission. Chief Robertus presented some suggestions which included chang- ing the speed limit from 35 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour on Groveland from Bronson to County Road J and post the required speed limit signs thereon, place a stop sign on Sherwood at Groveland and on Sherwood at Eastwood and place a dead end street sign on Fairchild at County Road H. Motion by Gibson, seconded by Malvin to place a 30 mile an hour sign on Groveland from Bronson to County Road J, on Sherwood at Groveland, on Sherwood at Eastwood and to place a Dead End sign on Fairchild at County Road H. Motion carried unalimously. In regards to the Burning Ordinance presented by Mayor Gibson the council advised Mr. Gibson that upon the next meeting of the Municipal Officials Association on October 28, he stated that the present Burn- ing Ordinance in effect by this Village incorporates most of the features of the new burning ordinance and that if the association so desires we could amend our present ordinance to include desired amend- ments. The matter of the Well Ordinance tabled to next meeting. Trustee Christensen and Allen Crane to give a corrected copy of the procedures for building permits, sub-divisions, etc., to the deputy clerk for printing. The zoning ordinance will be discussed on Tuesday, October 27 at 8:00 at 1450 West Highway 96. Motion by Christensen, seconded by Smith to approve the water re- port submitted by Comstock & Davis for the Village of Mounds View. Motion carried unanimously.
