Upon the call of roll Christensen, Smith and Crane, aye; Malvin, Hodges, no. Motion carried. The subject of the Police Commission ordinance was discussed by the council and the village (. attorney directed to study said ordinance and advise the council of changes which may be or are esired as necessary. The subject of additional help to be hired in the village office was brought to the attention of the eouncil by Clerk Smith. Motion by Christensen second by Crane that an ad be placed in the paper for part time help for a person in the village office as deputy clerk. 5 ayes, motion carried. It was brought to the council's attention that the opening of the office in the evenings, and on Saturdays would cause an inconvenience in the hearing of court during the week and on Saturdays. The council concurred that the village hall should be used for justice court instead of the village office and that the justices of peace be notified of this action. The subject of obtaining a radio frequency for the dogcatcher for a radio in his vehicle was tabled until further investigation could be made concerning this matter. A subject of dynamiting by village residents was brought to the attention of the council by a request to the village office by the Mueller Bros. There request in effect was a desire to obtain information whether the village had an ordinance controlling the use of dynamite within the village. The subject request was tabled by the council and village attorney directed to investigate village and state ordinance concerning the use of dynamite. Attorney Meyers presented a copy of a memorandum concerning the publishing of the minutes of council proceedings which implied that all minutes for publications according to statutes could be published in the legal village newspaper only.
