Tuesday, February 1, 1960 at the village hall 1450 West Highway 96 New Brighton 12, Minnesota, The following members were present: Mayor Clerk Trustees Attorney Engineer Deputy Clerk Treasurer Allln B. Crane Earl E. Smith Melford C. Christensen Donald Hodges Perry Malvin Richard Meyers E. V. Comstock Betty Walbridge Irene Edberg Tne minutes of the previous meeting was read and corrected to read that Trestee Melford C. Christensen was absent at the meeting held Januar 2 1960, at the village office. Motion by Smith., seconded by Christensen that a letter be written by the Clerk to all those who are normally in charge of submitting bills for pay= ment to the village; said bills be submitted at least three working days before the next regular council meeting. 5 ayes, motion carried. Motion by Crane seconded by Hodges that Mr. Kenneth Simonson be appointed to the Recreation Committee. 5 ayes, motion carried. Motion by Crane that Mr. Kenneth Kinstler be appointed to the Lakeside Park committee and requested the council set a date for a rezoning hearing. Motion by Christensen seconded by Hodges that date of hearing be set for February 23, 1960 at 800 p, m, at the Edgewood Junion High School. 5 ayes, motion carried, "otion by Crane seconded by Christensen that the following citizens be appointed to the Planning Committee as recommended by Mr. Stole: Phyllis Robertus, 3 year term expiring December 31, 1962; Henry Carnes, 3 year term expiring December 31, 1962; and Arthur McClure, 2 year term expiring December 31, 1961, 5 ayes, motion carried, Motion by Crane seconded by Smith, that Inga Hauge be reappointed to the Planning Commtttee for a three year term, said term to expire December 31, 1962. 5 ayes, motion carried, Motion by Crane seconded by Malvin that conies of the Planning Report be given to the newspapers, Schoo.L 3aor0_, interested county offices, and Histore, ical Society for use and information. 5 ayes, motion carried. Mr. Piehowski, Building Inspector presented a letter from Mr. George W. Ivor requesting permission to add on to the side of a house to be purchased by him, said addition to come Within 4 feet of the lot line.
