were then approved by the council amending a previous motion for
a crossover to be included on the plans, and that such crossover
be completed at the time that the need for such crossover is apparent.
Rsolutions No. 29 and 30 were read by Clerk Smith which covered
the crossover agreement and provisions concerning the construction
of T.I. #62 renumbered as T.H. #10.
Motion by Crane seconded by Malvin that the Village issue
private liquor licenses and the attorney be directed to prepare an
ordinance for the issuance and control of such licenses. dodges,
Malvin, Smith and Crane, aye; Christensen, no. Motion carried.
Mr. Lee Hetrick submitted plans to the council for a Trailer
Repair and Parking on Highway #8. The council suggested that said
plans be presented at the Clerk's Office for official filing and
from there forwarded to the Planning Commission and Engineer for
study and recommendation.
Mr. Kinne, the Mounds View North Suburban hospital District
Representative, appeared before the council to explain the forth-
coming election to be held April 12, 1960 for the purpose of
electing the permanent hospital board members. Clerk Smith road
the instructions regarding the election and pointed out that accord-
ing to these instructions, the village could have one election
district or maintain the three districts now in existence for this
election. notion by Malvin, seconded by Crane that the throe
polling districts be used for the hospital election. 5 ayes, motion
carried.
The subject of the new plans submitted. by Mr. "7allace Groberg
for the building of 2 apartment buildings and additional buildings
on County Read 1 near the junction of Adams Street, was referred to
the Planning C ..omission, Village Engineer and Village Attorney for
study.
Trustee Christensen brought to the attention of the council the
necessary placement of road limit signs in the village. Notion by
Christensen, seconded by i lodges that a letter be forwarded to the
County Engineer requesting such signs be placed throughout the
village as son as possible. 5 ayes, motion carried.
Motion by Malvin, seconded by Smith that the Village Attorney
take action necessary for the purchase of the land for the
construction of the well and tank for Project number 60 -1. 5 ayes,
motion carried.
The attorney and engineer wore also directed to prepare a
letter to Mr. '7allace Groberg outlining the various reasons for
the denial of building permits on Bronson Drive.
Mr. 'Jailer Skiba, Village inspector, brought to the attention
of the council that something should be done to stop construction
of shallow wells in the village and suggested that the village
amend the Ordinance in question and that all wells hereafter be of
a depth of 60 feet. Notion by Christensen, seconded by Crane,
that from this date all wells be at least 60 foot in depth and
