Motion by Crane, seconded by Hodges that two council meetings
A month be scheduled in order to adjudicate acjnuch business as
possible in two shorter meetings. Upon the call of roll Hodges,
Crane and Malvin; aye; Christensen and Smith, no. Motion carried.
Motion by Crane, seconded by Malvin that the second meeting of the
fignth be held on the fourth Monday of each month. Upon the call
off' roll Crane; Malvini Hodges, aye; Christensen and Smith, no;
motion carrieth
The subject of a fire marshall appointment in the village
was brought to the attention of the council by Mayor Crane and
motion by Smith, seconded by Christensen to table said appoihtment
until the next regular meeting of the council after council
discussion. 5 ayes; motion carried.
The subject of obtaining land for the site of the municipal
well was discussed by the attorney and motion by Crane, seconded
by Christensen that the attorney start condemnation proceedings
on seven acres of the O'Connell tract for the well site; 5 ayes,
motion carried.
Motion by Crane, seconded by Smith to approve payment of
the attached list of bills.
The subject of a light and a petition therefore to be located
on the corner of Sherwood Drive and Sunnyside Road was brought
to the attention of the Council by Trustee Malvin on behalf of the
residents of that neighborhood. Motion by Smith, seconded by
Hodges that a light be placed on the corner of Sherwood and
Sunnyside Road and that the Northern States Power Company be
notified of such action. 5 ayes, motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Malvin to adjourn at 12:58 A.M.
5 ayes, motion carried.
