Crane, at 7:30 P►Ma oh May 9, 1960 at the Red Oak School, Sherwood Road and Red Oak Drive Minneapolis 21, Minnesota. Present! Mayor: Clerk} Trustees! Attorney! Engineer! Smith Melford Ci Christensen Donald Hodges Perry Malvin Richard Meyers C&V► Comstock Lester Knutson Mrl Mann The minutes of the regular meeting of April 11, 1960 were readh Motion by Malvin, seconded by Hodges to approve the minutes as readt 5 ayes, motion Carried. The minutes of the special meeting of March 28, 1960, were read. Motion by Christensen, seconded by Hodges to approve the minutes as read. 5 ayes, motion carried. The minutes of the special meeting of the village council on April 14, 1960, were read. Motion by Christensen, seconded by Hodges to approve the minutes as read. 5 ayes, motion carried& Motion by Smith, seconded by Malvin to accept the following bids as low bids on Project No. 1960 -1: Thein Well Company as low bid on well; Chicago Bridge and Iron Company as low bid on tank construction; and Peter Lametti & Sons, Inc., as low bid on construction of mains. A report was given to the council by Trustee Christensen concern+ ing the municipal sewer committee meeting held at the Brooklyn Park fire station on May 4, 1960. It was stated at this meeting that engineering problems were being investigated and that other than that not too much progress was being made at this date. The subject of the purchase of a tractor to be used by the village in connection with the water program and the recreation committee in connection with the mowing of grass on the ball diamonds was brought to the attention of the council and that the engineer was presently studying the needs and the type of tractor required and that specifications would be presented to the council within a short time. Village engineer stated that the question of the type of water hydrants to be used and installed by the contractor when the mains are installed would have to be settled by the council. The subject of water hydrants was tabled until further investigation and study by the council.
