The Building Inspector presented plans to the council concerning
the building of the Messiah Lutheran Church and after revealing the
plans the council agreed that said plans were properly drawn and
consented to the building in accordance with said plans. The building
inspector stated that he had received a preliminary sketch type of
plan for the building onto the Skyline Motel which was subject to the
approval by the council in which the owner of said motel presented
in an effort to save money in Preparing detailed drawings. The council
agreed that regular plans be submitted to the Building inspector and
the council before an approval for building onto said property could
be granted.
The building inspector also stated that a contractor, Mr. Eastman
was not complying with the building code requirements and that he would
have to take action against said builder. The matter referred to the
attorney for attention and building inspector and plumbing inspector
directed to meet with the attorney on Saturday morning, May 14.
Building inspector also stated that a second building was built on
the property of 5059 Red Oak Drive and t`iat said building was nothing
but a shack and was a detrement to the surrounding neighborhood. Matter
also referred to the attorney for the meeting on Saturday morning,
May 14, 1960. The building inspector also stated that they had found
the house which had been moved into the area without a moving permit
and that he and the plumbing inspector had visited the residents of
said house and said tenants have refused to cooperate within require-
rents of the building code and the moving ordinance. Matter also
referred to the attorney for investigation. Building inspector also
stated that the duplexes built by the Northeast Construction Company
which was presented to the council at a previous meeting that said
duplexes were actually constructed as fourplexes and that action would
be required on these buildings. Matter also referred to the attorney
for investigation.
The subject of the vacation ordinance was discussed by the council
and tabled.
The subject of the Park ordinance and the fire marshall appoint-
ment was also tabled until the next meeting.
Mayor Crane brought to the attention of the council that the
building code, sub - division regulations and zoning ordinance should
be edited and placed into order so that certain provisions could be
found with ease. He suggested that a committee of Crane, Christensen
and Smith be formed to edit these regulations. Motion by Crane,
seconded by Malvin to pay a bill from the Ramsey County Municipal
Officials Association in the amount of $25.00 be approved by payment.

Motion by Christensen, seconded by Malvin to approve payment of
bills. 5 ayes, motion carried.
Motion by Christensen, seconded by Hodges to approve the follow-
ing road repairs;
