HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000003_pg050The 'Tell Inspector, Mr. Skiba presented a question to the council concerning the construction of new houses on property where the mains and laterals are to be placed. He stated that the council had amended the well ordinance to provide for greater depth of wells but that the builders constructing houses where water will be available, feel that where they had to provide deep wells it would be a disadvantage to them when water would be avail- able to these houses in a short time. Mr. Skiba was informed that said builders or persons desiring to build homes on streets to which water would be available shortly, could waive the deep well requirements and construct a shallow €x well on their pro- perty providing they sign a water hook -up agreement with the vil- lage which includes a provision that said builder or owner will hook up with the village water system as soon as it becomes avail- able on that street and to said house. The water hook up agree- ment will become part of the records on file in the county court- house concerning that home. Clerk Smith read a letter from the Northern States Power Company concerning installation of gas at 5055 -5057 and 50 -95 -5099 Sunnyside Road. Council instructed Clerk to h ve Deputy to call Northern States Power to inform thaem not to install gas at the aforementioned adresses. Motion by Malvin, seconded by Hodges to adjourn at 10:07 P. M. 4 ayes, motion carried. On advice of the Attorney the meeting was againx called to order by the council at 10:17 p. m. to consider the matter of instructing the V:_llage Engineer to have the well driller proceed with the construction of the well. The Attorney was instructed to draw up a form for the contractor to sign regarding the well construction tc release the village from any damages which might be incurred by the contractor as a result of this action. 4 ayes, motion carried.
