The re _sular meeting of the sounds View Village Council was
called to order by Mayor Allan 3. Crane at 3:02 T .L. , September 12,
1960 at the Red Oak School located at Sherwood Road and Red Oak
Drive.

Minutes of the previous r.ieeting were tabled for reading due
to the absence of the Clerk, who was attendin; election duties.
Er. Stole, Chairman of the : 1anning Commission, reported on
the minutes of the meeting of that Committee held August 23, 1960.
Pr. Stole reported on the following requests for action by the
Planning Commission: (1) Request by Bronson - Erickson to sub-
divide a portion of Lot 62, inollwood'Park, Ramsey County into
three (3) lots according; to a sketch submitted; (2) request by
Er. Simon of Simon's Grocery located on -Ivry. 10 and Knollwood for
a setback variance in order to build an addition onto his store
to be used for a liquor store.
The request by Bronson- Ericson to sub- divide Lot 62 was
discussed by the Council and motion by Christenson, second by
Malvin that said company re- submit a subdivision for the entire
lot in accordance with the recommendation of the iTanning Commission.
4 ayes, motion carried.
The second request submitted to the Manning Commission con-
cerning the variance setback requested -by I'.r. Simon was discussed
at previous meetings and the Council concurred that said variance
should not be approved. To formalize this action, Mayor Crane
moved, Christenson seconded to deny i':r. Simon's request for set-
back, variance in order to add a liquor store adjoining; or onto his
present building.. Christenson, Crane, od ;es - aye, i:alvin - no.
Motion carried.
Er. Fred )ecoursey appeared before the Council and requested
that consideration be ;riven tc his previous request filed in the
Clerk's Office for subdivision of his lot at 7869 Greenwood Drive.
Mayor Crane explained that said lot had boon inspected by the
Village Manner, Er. Dalgron, who had concurred with this request.
Lotion by Crane, second by i`:lvin to approve the subdivision of
I:r. Decoursey' s lot into two lots, the lot on which his present
home is located to have a frontage of 90 feet and the remaining
lot to be 75 foot frontage. 4 ayes, motion carried.
