The regular meeting of the village council was called to order by Mayor Crane at 8 :08 P. M., Monday October 24, 1960, at the Red Oak School located at Sherewood Road and Red Oak Drive. Members Present: Mayor Allan B. Crane Clerk Earl E. Smith Trustee Melford C. Christensen Donald C. Hodges Perry Malvin Attorney Richard G. Meyers Engira er C. V. Comstock Lester Knutson The minutes of the September 12th meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion by Malvin, seconded by Hodges to approve the minutes as read. 5 ayes, motion carried. The minutes of the August 29th meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion by Hodges, seconded by Malvin to approve the minutes as read. 5 ayes, motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Malvin to table the minutes of the meeting of September 26th until they could be read by the council as said minutes consist efs 8 pages. Christensen, Smith, Hodges and Malvin, aye; Crane, no. Motion carried. Mayor Crane inquired about the minutes of the meeting of September 29th and was informed by Clerk Smith that the information concerning the Waterworks bonds had not been received from the Fiscal Agent as yet and the minutes would be prepared as soon as said information is received. The minutes of the meeting of October 18th were read and corrected as follows: A sentence to be inserted in said minutes that the firm of Allison Williams and Company was awarded the contract for the sale of bonds. Also said minutes should show that Erustee Christensen entered the meeting just after the awarding of the Bond Contract. Motion by Christensen, seconded by Hodges to approve the Minutes of the Meeting of October 18th as corrected. 5 ayes, motion carried. Clerk Smith brought up the subject of certifying to the council the Judges for the November 8th election. A long with the judges to be certified Smith also recommended that other clerical help be approved during the rush time and the counting of the ballots. Motion by Christensen, seconded by Crane to concur with the Clerk's recommendation and certify the following judges and allow clerical help to be provided as so needed during the General Election on November 8, 1960:
