Clerk Smith read a letter from the Highway Department which
^l1ed for approval of plans for that Highway. The letter was
referred to the Attorney and Engineer for study.
Clerk Smith also read a letter from the School Board
7oquesting that the council forward a letter to the Recreation
.-artment naming the Mounds View village representative to the
pool Recreation Board for the year of 1960 and 1961. Trustee
..edges stated that this had been referred to the Park and Play- -
--round Committee for recommendation at its next meeting.
Clerk Smith read a request by Roy Schmidt for a permit to
ark his trailer at 1945 Highway 10. Motion by Crane, seconded
y Smith to deny this request. Crane, Smith, Hodges, Christens_
.ye; Malvin, no. 4 ayes, motion carried.
Mayor Crane then brought up the subject of John Och's 30 d
nn.w_.>ointment to the Police force. Mr. Och has asked whether or
:-ot he will be retained on a list of persons to be used as fill :-
n when needed. The council recommended this to the Police Coo-

Mr. Jack Bell'bro ught up the subject of court space for the
,'ustices of Peace at New Brighton Village Hall. He stated that
_:.e had approahhed the New Brighton Village Council and they un_r
.)usly agreed to rent space to Mounds View Village at a fee of
115.00 a week. This rental could be arranged on a month to mor_-:

The village Attorney then read a lease between Kenneth and
:?etty Simonson and the Village of Mounds View, said land to be

Trustee Malvin brought up the subject of turning on and sh .7.::.'.
off the light at the Lakeside Skating rink. It was the concensi'-
of opinion by the council that this problem should be shared wit
Spring Lake Park.
Clerk Smith bnught up the subject of a call from the County
1,,.uditor's office that he received this date concerning land
deeded to the village by Mr. Babinski in the Twelve Oaks Second
Addition Low 5, Block 9, for which the taxes for the year of 19f
has not been 13aid. Referred to the village Attorney for investi•
gyration.
