Crane at the Red Oak School. Umbers Present: mayor: Clerk: Trustees: Attorney: Engineer: Allan B. Crane Lloyd J. Blanchard Donald C. Hodges Perry Iialvin i:elford Christensen Richard I•ieycrs Les Knutson A motion was made by iial_vin to accept the minutes of the proviou meeting as read. Seconded by-Hodges. 5 Ayes for approval. Lotion carried. Iir. William A. Dictrichson from Northern States Power Company presented a contract and Resolution for electrical service to the Pumping Station. The contract was examined and rates and services discussed by the Council. Notion by Christensen to accept the con- tract and Resolution as presented. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes for approval. Iiotion carried. Iiayor Crane stated that because an emergency had been declared by the Council, the Village had requested bids for a pumping in- stallation from six (6) firms, well known in their field, and asked the Village .Engineer to report on the bids received and his findings on a responsible low bidder. Iir. Knutson reported that of the six bids requested, four had been received and that the bids were opened at 5 :00 P.U. in the office of the Village Engineer on January 23, 1961 in the presence of Villag. Clerk Blanchard, Trustees i:alvin and Christense, and Waterworks Supt. Skiba. The low bid was received from Fairbanks - horse, 220 East 5th St. St. Paul, iiinnesota in the amount of 017,975.00 work to begin 21 day after award of contract and to be finished in 28 days. Second bid was received from Layne- iiinnesota, 3147 IT. Califorr iiinneapolis, hinnesota in the amount of ::18,419.10 work to begin 14 days after award of contract and to be finished in 24 days. Third bid received from Iiuellcr Bros., Gaylord, hi_Inesota in the amount of (,;19,379.76, work to begin 21 days after award of contract and to be finished in 28 days. Fourth bid received from Jacuzzi Bros., Inc. 6160 Wayzata Blvd, Iiinneapolis, Iiinnesota, in the amount of ;)19,875.00, work to begin 30 days after award of contract and to he completed in 40 days.
