Proceedings of the Village Council Meeting- February 13, 1961
Motion by Hodges to adopt Ordinance # 82 an Ordinance
amending Ordinance #$1 prohibiting "set -ups" on Sunday. Seconded by
Malvin. Crane- No. 4 Ayes for approval. (Christensen,Hodges,
Malvin and Blanchard).
A proposed change to the Dog Ordinance was read, calling for a
'25.00 License fee for unspayed female dogs.
After much discussion from the floor Mayor Crane moved that the
Ordinance be tabled for 6 months to see how the new set -up with the
dogcatcher would work out. Motion died for lack of a second.
Trustee Christensen moved the Ordinance be adopted - motion
died for lack of a second.
A Resolution calling for re- assessing of property for public
improvement was read.
Motion by Blanchard for adoption. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes
Motion carried.
Motion by Christensen to pay presented bills (list attached).
Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes for approval.
The Engineer reported that the Proposed Pump House would cost
Y755.00, and was instructed to proceed with the letting of the contract
and the construction.
The Engineer presented Estimate $33 for payment on Work completed
for Sandstrom and Hafner on Water Project.
Motion by Crane to pay Sandstrom and Hafner, Seconded by Christens
5 Ayes for approval
Motion by Crane to order permanent plans for building on well
site. Seconded by Christensen. 5 Ayes for approval.
Motion by Blanchard to have Engineer prepare the Assessment Roll
for Water Works Improve. Proj. #60 -3. Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes for
approval.
Mr. Knutson reported that the water system at Northern Pole
Treating Plant in the Village of Fridley was not suitable for Village
use.
Motion by Blanchard that Mr. Paul Boog be hired as Administrative
Deputy Clerk at a salary of j450.00 per month with a 6 month probation
period. Sennded by Crane.
After considerable discussion the roll was called. Malvin, No,
Christensen, No, Hodges, Aye, Crane, Aye, Blanchard , Aye. 3 Ayes,
Motion carried.
Planning Report read by Milt Stole. (Report on file at Village
Office).
The Clerk was instructed to return the Planners (Howard Dahlgrer'
original contract Proposal for correction and ask him to re- submit it
Motion by Crane that Mr. Keith Ewers, 2230 Co. Rd. J, be ap-
pointed Village Weed Inspector. Seconded by Christensen. 5 Ayes for
approval.
Motion by Malvin to adjourn. Seconded by Christensen. 5 Ayes.
Motion carried.
