HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000005_pg36000036 -3- Minutes of Village Council Meeting, March 27th, 1961 A letter was read in reference to a Proposed Bus Route change through the Eastern part of the Village. (Copy on File). Motion by Christensen to accept change in route as proposed by the Anoka - Minneapolis Bus Company. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. Mr. Christensen reported that the Water Meter installation would begin on Tuesday, March 28th, 1961. He further reported on the status of the North Suburban Sanitary Sewer Bill. He stated that because of the reversal of the Minneapolis stand on the sewer that the chances for passage of our bill were much better than they were a few weeks ago. The Engineer recommended the following water rates be establish- ed for all home and present commercial uses: $6.75 per quarter for the 1st 10,000 gallons, less .75¢ if payment is made by the 25th day of the month of billing. For usage in excess of 10,000 gallons per quarter: For the next 10,000 to 20,000 gallons .35¢ per thousand. For the next 20,000 to 30,000 gallons .30¢ per thousand. For the next 30,000 and all additional gallons .25¢ per thousand. A .50¢ penalty for Late Report (Return of Meter Card) was also recommended. Motion by Hodges to adopt the rates as proposed by the Engineer and to have the Attorney draw up an Ordinance governing this. Seconded by Christensen. 5 Ayes for approval. Motion by Blanchard to approve Licenses. Seconded by Crane. 4 Ayes. Licenses as follows: George Coverdale -1016 Chatsworth,St.Paul 3- Plumbing Cont. Thoennes Plumbing & Htg. -Rte 5, Stillwater - Heating Cont. Stapp Bros. Electric -1015 Summit Ave. So.St.Paul, Electrical Contracting Consolidated Electric -1444 Eleanor St.Paul 16- Electrical Contracting Mounds View D -X -1925 Hwy 10, Mpls.21 (James Haluptzok) Cigarette License Mr. Christensen was excused at 10:00 P.P. to attend a meeting regarding the sewer problem.
