Motion by Crane that the Clerk and the Water Superintendent
hire one or two part time men at 451.50 per hour, with an additional
7¢ per mile mileage allowance to assist in installing water meters.
Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes.
Motion by Crane to accept Elmer Palen as part time employee at
$1.50 per hour with 7¢ per mile mile mileage allowance to assist
Water Superintendent. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes.
The Attorney pointed out the Village Liability in regards to these
Employees and recommended that a Certificate of Insurance be obtained
from each Employee and kept on file. The Clerk was instructed to
comply with the Attorney's recommendation.
A Resolution regarding Water rates was read by the Attorney.
Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution setting Water Rates.
Seconded by Hodges. 4 Ayes.
Motion by Blanchard Seconded by Malvin to Adopt a Resolution
removing property at 2259 Pinewood Drive from the Assessment Role.
4 Ayes.
A memo on Audit procedures was read by the Attorney. A copy was
given to each Councilman and a copy placed on file at the Clerk's office.
The.May'or then set the date for an Audit meeting for Monday, April
17th at 7i00 P*M1 in the Village Office.
The Attorney reported onithe final M.A.C. hearing regarding the
expansion of the Anoka Co. Airport.
The Mayor presented a letter from the staff of the Metropolitan
Planning Commission in regards to the Proposed expansion. (Copy on
file).
The Attorney reported that the final papers were being prepared
for the purchase of the Foley jroperty.
The Clerk tams instructed to determine what pay the Clerk - typist
at the Village Office siouid receive and to recommend hours said Clerk-
typist should workq and to report on this at the next regular meeting.
Motion by Crane to authorize the Village dierk and his Deputy to
issue Burning Permits upon reconm endation of the Fire Marshall or Fire
Chief. Seconded by Malvin, 4 Ayes
The Attorney was instructed to draw up an amendment to apply to
vending machines in the Village Ordinance. .referring to this regulation.
Kenneth Ballenger brought up a matter regarding Insurance for the
C.D. Volunteers. Insurance referred to James Mahoney for study and
recommendation.
Police report for March read by Crane. Copy on file at Village
Office. Copy of Dogcatcher's report for March also placed on file.
Letter from Minnesota Safety Council regarding Circle of Safety
Traffic check was referred to Police Chief Grabowski.
Letter regarding P. .R.A. was referred to Clerk's office. Motion
by Blanchard to pay all bills presented (list attached). Seconded by
Malvin. 4 Ayes.
