Minutes of April 24th, 1961 Council Meeting
The Planning Commission report was read by the Clerk and the
following action was taken:
Motion by Christensen to concur with the Planning Commision
recommendation and approved the request for subdivision of Mr.
Ralph Edberg 7870 Greenwood Drive* Mrls 21. Seconded by Blanchard
5 Ayes.
Motion by Christensen to concur with the Planning Commission
recommendation and approve the request for sub - division of Lot 62
Knollwood Park Addition* as requested by Bronson - Erickson. Seconded
By Blanchard, 5 Ayes.
Because there was no member of the Planning Commission present
who was familiar with the third request, the matter of a variance
for Ed Dropps was tabled:
Copy of the Planning Commission report on file at Clerk's office.
Mr. Malvin reported on action of Public Welfare Department.
Home on St. Stephens Street was notified of Complaint about the
state of their yard. The situation was corrected.
A Complaint had been received about a home on Co. Rd. J. that
was creating a health hazard. This will be investigated and action
taken if needed.
Motion by Crane to have the Village Attorney prosecute the
Herrmann case if necessary. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes.
The Police Commission report was read and the following action
taken:
(A set of rules governing the use of the Police Cars).
Motion by Crane to adopt those rules. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes.
Motion by Crane to have Village enter into a "Circle of Safety "
traffic check with the Civil Defense handling the program, and to
order kit #400 for $17.95 to be used in this program. Seconded by
Christenseht 5 Ayes.
Mr, Dalberg of Dalberg Builders asked that the Clerk sign the
Plat plans for the Flink Addition. These plans had been given
previous Council approval. Said Plat Plans were signed and Village
seal affixed,
The matter of overtime pay for Mr. Skiba, Public Works Supt.
was brought up and discussed very thoroughly. The following action
was taken, Motion by Christensen that the Water Works Supt, and /or
his helper continue to be available and to make Plumbing and Water
inspections in such manner as he sees fit and to bring a report to
the Council in regards to what compensation he shall receive.
Seconded by Malvin. 4 Aires, Hodges -No. Motion carried.
The minutes of the North Suburban Hospital Association were
placed on file.
A proposed Ordinance brought to the Council by the Civil Defense
Director was referred to the Attorney.
