The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called
to order by Mayor Crane at 8 :00 P.M. August 28th, 1961 at the Red Oak
School, Sherwood Rd. and Red Oak Dr., Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Mayor called three times for further bids on the Storm Sewer
conduit for Lambert Park.
There being no furt'ler bids, he declared the bids closed and
directed the clerk to open bids received.
The bids were as follows:

Motion by Christensen to refer bids to Village Engineer for tab-
ulation and recommendation. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes.
Motion by Christensen to approve minutes of August 14th meeting
as presented. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes.
The Mayor asked if there was any business from the floor not on
the agenda.
A resident of 7900 Edgewood Rd. asked the Council a question
regarding water service. He had asked for a water hook -up from the
Hillview Rd. side of his home but had not been home when the location
stakes were put in. The contractor had put the service in from
Eastwood Rd. He requested a another connection be put in where he
had originally desired it.
This matter was refered to the Engineer and the water superintendent
for study and recommendation.
The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting were read by Mel
Christensen. (copy on file)
Motion by Crane to appoint Mr. Robert Goff, 5072 Red Oak Dr. to
the Planning Commission to fill the unexpired term of Inga Haug. Said
term to expire Dec. 31st, 1962. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes.
The Clerk's Office was directed to send a letter to this appointee.
