August 28th Council Meeting (coni t)
The Engineer was instructed to write a letter to the Highway Dept.
regarding proposed Highway 10 and also regarding the proposal for
interstate 35W.
Motion by Crane to send work order to County to have Gloria
Circle shaped, oiled and sanded. Seconded by Hodges. 5 ayes.
The storm sewer conduit from Hillview to Spring Lake was referred
to the Sept. 5th agenda meeting for further study.
Motion by Christensen to approve change order on Deep Nell #2
relating to pipe size and open hole size as recommended by Village
Engineer. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes.
Motion by Blanchard to approve Est. #3 on deep well #2 for Layne
Minnesota Co. in the amount of $9,594.72 and other bills presented.
Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes.
Motion by Crane to approve building permit #87 -61 to concur with
Building Inspectors recommendation. Seconded by Christensen. 5 Ayes.
Mr, Robert Edmond, electrical inspector, stated that he had red
tagged a home with sub - standard wiring but felt that the house would
be brought up to standard after talking with the owners.

Mr. Malvin was excused at 11:15 P.M.
The temporary office space in the utility building may be ready
within two months, the Engineer reported.
A Resolution regarding a modification of assessments was read.
Motion by Crane to adopt Resolution #83. Seconded by Christensen.
4 Ayes,
A Resolution approving the Statue which establishes that Ramsey
County Municipal Officers Association and authorizes payment of dues
was presented. Motion by Crane.to adopt Resolution. Seconded by
Christensen. 4 Ayes.
Malvin returned at 11:15.
Motion by Christensen that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to
enter into an escrow agreement with the D.W. Hickey Co. for the
Village of Mounds View. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes.
Motion by Malvin to have the Civil Defense men assist the Police
Department as needed on Labor Day week -end. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes,
Motion by Blanchard to authorize purchase of Remington Electric
typewriter for the Village office for the price of $135.00. Seconded
by Christensen, 5 Ayes.
Motion by Blanchard to approve licenses presented(list att.).
Seconded by Christensen. 5 Ayes.
