HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000006_pg133PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE C')UNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY C CUNTY; MINNESOTA The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Acting Mayor Hodges at 8:00 P,M., September llth, 1961 at the Red Oak School, Sherwood Rd. and Red Oak Dr., Minneapolis, Minn OJO133 Present were Acting Mayor: Clerk: Trustees: Engineer: Attorney: Adm. Clerk: Donald Hodges Lloyd Blanchard Perry Malvin Les Knutson Richard Meyers Paul Boog Motion by Malvin to accept minutes of August 28th meeting as pre- sented. Seconded by Hodges. 3 Ayes. The minutes of special meeting held September 6th(assessment hearing) were read. Motion by Hodges to accept minutes as read. Seconded by Malvin., 3 Ayes. Mr. Hodges and Mr. Malvin reported that the recreation Commission and Lakeside Park Commission budget would be availa}h2 for Yudy at the next budget meeting, Monday September 18th. Mr. Roy Juntunen,.Police Commission member, read the Police report for August.(copy on file) He also read a letter of resignation from Officer Dale Pierce and a letter from the Police Commission with a recommendation for a.eptance of said resignation.(copies of both on file) Motion by Hodges to concur with the Police Commission's recommendation and to accept the resignation of Dale Pierce effective September 22nd,1961. Seconded by Blanchard. 3 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to concur with the Village Engineer recommendation and to accept the low bid and award the contract to North Star Concrete Co, for furnishing storm sewer conduit for Lambert Park. Said bid in the the amount of $1,355.05. Seconded by Malvin. 3 Ayes. A letter from the Dedolph Co. regarding heating of water utility building was read.(copy on file) The Engineer stated that the contractor would meet his comp1et-'on date on the utility building with the exception of the treatment plant portion which was delayed by Council action. Mr. Knutson further reported that the building should be ready for occupancy within 60 to 70 days and advised the Council that some sight grading would be necessary for parking and pedestrians traffic, The matter of telephone service to the building was also discussed and will be acted on at a future date. Motion by Hodges to send a work order to the County to grade the utility building site per specs. from Village Engineer. Seconded by Malvin, 3 Ayes. The Engineer advised that an intensive program of flushing of the water mains be instituted and maintained until the treatment plant is installed.
