HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000007_pg33OtJ0033 PRCCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAM$Y COUNTY MINNESOTA Persuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special Meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds >:'iew, Minnesota was held at the Village Office in said Village on Tuesday Feb. 27, 1962 at 5 :20 P.M. Mayor Crane called the meeting to order. Present were: Mayor Allan B. Crane Clerk Lloyd J. Blanchard Trustees Donald Hodges John L. Sullivan Perry Malvin Also Present Admin. Clerk Paul Boog Engineer Les Knutson Vice President Vern Luther (Layne, Minn. Co.) Mayor Crane called on Les Knutson to explain about the test pumping at Well #2. The Engineer reviewed the contract botween Layne - Minnesota and the Village of Mounds View pertaining to the pumping results at Well #2. He stated that on February 23, 1962 the following results were attained after 30 plus hours of pumping. Amount Sand 400 gal. per minute 4 parts per million 4 :00 400 " " It 5 " it " 4 :15 450 " IT n 6 n n n 4 :30 500 " " " 28 " " " To increase yield of well to 1,000 gallons per minute. The decision, as explained by Les Knutson and Vern Luther from Layne - Minnesota was either one of two choices to obtain "Sand free" water e.g. with the maximum of 5 ppm. 1. Test Pumping at $22.00 per hour 2. $ 300.00 per 50 gallons per minute increment increase in the yield of the well over the tested "sand Free" yield determined under Stage #1 Motion by Blanchard that the Village of Mounds View approve of pumping agreement Stage # 2.
