VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council
was called to order by Mayor Crane at 8:05 P.M. March 13, 1962
at 2401 Highway #10 .

The Attorney advised that the minutes show that the
regular meeting and Public Hearing scheduled for Monday,
March 12, 1962 was postponed by council action until Tuesday,
March 13, 1962.
The Mayor opened the public hearing on the street and
storm sewer improvement project in Clint1s Addition.
The Attorney read and explained the published Notice
of Hearing. (Copy of notice attached.)
Mr. and Mrs. Grande of 5165 Long Lake Road, New Brighton,
Minnesota made appearance at this hearing. They stated that
they received no notice in the mail, but that - Councilman Hodges
had notified them personally of the hearing. The Engineer
explained the estimated costs of this improvement and stated
that these plans presented were not the final plans but merely
a preliminary report. He further explained that this hearing
was a result of Council action emanating from,°a petition by
Arvid Carlson Inc. a developer' who owned Clint'g Addition.
He also explained the type of reads and storm sewers contem-
plated and the direction of flow of surface water through
said storm sewer.
Mr. Carlson, (developer) stated that he felt the
Engineer's proposals are fully acceptable and that they
solve the problems presented.
Mr. Carlson: "I am in favor of the improvement and the
means of assessment and agree with the Engineer's solution
to our problem."
Mr. Grande: "The proposed road, Woodcrest Drive, on the
North side of this property if completed as proposed, (66 ft.)
would leave the right of way within 5' ft. of the side of our
house. We are willing and trying to sell our house and land
and request that no action be taken on this matter until we have
sold." (Mr. and Mrs. GrWnde are officially listed as the only
opponents to this improvement at this meeting.)
