Motion by Hodges to cyrrect minutes of July 23rd Council
meeting by adding "September 10, 1962" to the fourth line
from the bottom of Page #3 - line corrected would read
"Hillview Road Project tentative date for bids - September 10,1962
and to approve minutes as corrected. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes.
Motion Carried.
Motion by Malvin to correct July 30th minutes of Special
Meeting to read "however alternates #2 and #3 are eliminated
thus making the D.W, Hickey Company the low bidder in the
amount of $25,040.00 and approve minutes as corrected.
Seconded by Crane; 4 Ayes. Motion Carried.
Questions as to the method of reassessing lots that
are being or will be subdivided referred to the Engineer and
Attorney for study and recommendation.
Motion by Sullivan to set August 27, 1962, 8 :30 P.M.
as hearing date to rezone Lot #58, Auditor's Subdivision #89
from R1 -A to B -3 Retail Business as requested by Mr. Andrew
Simon to build a Supper Club and Motel. Seconded by Malvin.
4 Ayes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Sullivan to grant a variance to allow Mr.
James Haluptzok to move his garage three feet from the lot
line - the garage is now located on the lot line of the North
one half of Lot #21, Spring Lake Park Hillview - This is a
hardship case due to the area. Seconded by Malvin, 4 Ayes.
Motion Carried.
Attorney Meyers reported that the easements on the
Haluptzok Terrace Development have been sent out.
Mr, Walter Skiba introduced Mr. Donald Nelson and Mr.
Donald Nichols, land developers, interested in building and
developing land between Highway # 8 and Highway #10. The
Council explained the zoning, water, storm and sanitary
sewer facilities within Mounds View.
Motion by Sullivan to adopt Ordinance #94, as an
amendment 'to Liquor Ordinance #53. Seconded by Malvin.
Mrs. Bernice Ehlers, 6939 Pleasant Veiw Drive and Mrs. Ila
McCue, 7310 Fairchild both opposed the. adoption of this
Ordinance. It was explained thatthis amendment also clarified
Ordinance #53. 4 Ayes, Motion carried.
Mrs, Nick Kuehn, 2721 La Port Drive questioned the
authority of the Police Department. She was notified of the
Police Commission meeting to be held at the Village Hall on
August 23, 1962.
Mrs. Kuehn complained about the tall grass and weeds on
both Lambert and Sherwood. She was notified that Keith Ewers,
the weed inspector would be informed of this condition to
determine whether it was a Village matter. Mrs. Kuehn questioned
the tax structure. All available information was given to her.
